Both the ghosts I've seen were very 'real'
One being the late father of my boyfriend at the time and more recently my friends cat who had not long died.
We definitely have a spirit in the charity shop where I volunteer. Too many things have happened when we have shut the shop but things move and are put in the most bizarre places when we are there.
We think we know who it is as we have a lot of regular customers who know the history of the shop.

An idea. Let's all go round to MissA's house with a few bottles of vino and scare ourselves shitless witless. ?????‍♀️??

Please leave well alone - you are opening yourself up to things of a spiritual dimension that you don't understand even if they seem harmless. I know that people even when considering it a bit of fun have then started with recurrent night mares that they couldn't get rid of and depression and that is the mild side of things!! Please please leave well alone. Would be interested in what you were hoping to get out of it?

I wouldn't. I do tend towards the sceptical,, but I've heard too many things from people who I know would never make them up, to be a total scoffer.

Re Ouija boards in particular, my always very sensible and level headed sister was persuaded into joining such a session - for a laugh- while a student.
It turned into anything but a laugh.
Large items such as a wardrobe in her bedroom started moving in the night. She was scared witless and said she'd never do it again.

That's because they are purely entertainment.
If they were honest messages from 'the other side' when he handles some of the deceased's personal belongings, he (and others) would have no compunction about standing behind those messages.
People will interpret things to suit themselves, no matter how far fetched because they want to cling on to memories.
It's all baloney. ????

I have 'spirit' in my home, I called in 2 mediums from the local spiritualist church who confirmed this. It does not worry me and|I am really interested in all things spiritual, however, I would NEVER ever use or allow anyone to use an Ouija board in my home, I honestly believe they can be dangerous.

They're a load of rubbish, IMHO. People of a balanced and sensible frame of mind just laugh them off (or should.) But any of a "vulnerable" disposition could easily have the sh*t frightened out them them.

Leave 'em alone!

Been to 3 "fortune tellers" and every time have been told things would happen and they did although one in particular nearly 5 years later. Also gave me info on people I knew and were affecting my life. Gave me an insight on what was going on in my life even though I had never met them before. Even told me what my DH hates doing in DIY line - carpet/ floor covering laying, was spot on! Don't know if I would use a ouija board though.

As a died in the wool sceptic, I wouldn't mind trying a session, however, I don't know anyone who has one and have never heard it talked about among my circle of friends.
I think the scare stories are a bit far fetched and brought about through fear before people even sit at the table.

Never believed in that sort of thing but once worked very closely with a woman who did and who believed she was a medium of sorts. I didn't much like her and she knew I didn't believe most of the tales she related. I lent her a book once. She returned the book and I took it home. The next morning I went downstairs and found all of the cushions in the sitting room and hallway were on the floor - nobody else in the house at the time and no pets either - I was convinced she was somehow teaching me a lesson.

My late Mum went through a Spiritulist stage & found great comfort in it.
I used to work for a magazine that dealt with all that sort of stuff & went to a lot of Clairvoyents with a colleague to check them out. We saw quite a few & only one was so unbelievably accurate for both of us that we were shocked. Everything she said was true & it was in such amazing detail. I found out that night I was pregnant with my first child & he would be 10lb 5oz He was & also born on the day she foretold- 2 weeks late as it happens. My colleague was told something about her family that she had no idea about & she dismissed it until she told them & they confirmed it was true. She was so glad she had found out.
It saved her marriage.
Still open minded about it all though.

Sleep walking Annie, I have done some weird things in my sleep. I once climbed on top of a dressing table and woke up as I was hauling myself up the wardrobe next to it. I have rearranged household ornaments, found them on window sills in neat rows when they were on a sideboard when I went to bed. I have laid a table in the kitchen.
I have always sleep walked, parents used to find me in the bath or standing in front of mirrors screaming because I could not get through the door.

My dad used one when he was doing his national service.It spelled out “You do not believe in me” frightened the life out of them. The never tried it again

A friend had a small display unit hanging on her wall, with china in it. She noticed one day that everything had shifted forward until things were leaning against the front glass. Getting everything out without anything falling and breaking was impossible - she lost a few valued items. If she had opened the front without noticing, a lot would have fallen inexplicably. Vibration had gradually moved things until they met the door.

I have a large rug in a room which isn't used much. I can go in there after a week or two to find the rug a couple of feet away from where it used to be, when no-one has walked on it or even near it. Heat variations and the sun coming in the window cause that.

Some things best not messed with and in my opinion this is one of them.

I'm not in the least suggestible, but neither am I close minded. I'm sure most so-called psychics are nothing of the sort, but am equally sure that others have a gift. And as a teenager I had experience of an Ouija board session predicting a very unexpected death in such detail that I would never use one again, and would warn others off them.

I tried it with friends when a teenager. Only four of us. One girl seemed to be having an effect on the board and it didn’t work when she was out of the room but did when she was there even though she wasn’t touching the glass.
