Of course I have sympathy for a girl who has lost two small children, even one who is “not fazed by a severed head because he was an enemy of Islam” ie possibly British or American. I might save her life but I would not trust her an inch. She has a lot of growing up and learning to do.

The true victims however are the Syrians who have lost everything and had to join refugee camps and could be in them for years - as in decades, if they end up like those in Lebanon, putting up with malnutrition and lack of medicines. No one is going to save them in a hurry - and they were fighting against the Jihadists. It’s a sad, sad world.

Starbird returning terrorist sympathisers seem to get better treatment than our armed services personnel who have been in the forefront of trying to defeat Daesh in several countries over many years!!!

If I had to flee my own country because I was being persecuted or in fear of my life, I would be eternally grateful to whichever country took me in and gave me shelter.

I would imagine that now SB has such a high profile, we’re she to come back she would be monitored more closely than the norm.

I just despair why those who hate us so much (and wish us harm) don’t just bugger off to wherever they consider ‘home’.

We must trust our Intelligence Service where national security is concerned. It's their information that will determine whether or not she will be allowed to return to the UK.

It might be an unpopular view, but she was reported as being an intelligent and well read young woman, who in my opinion has turned into a cold and calculating terrorist sympathiser.

Apologies, I've been out all day and so late in my response.

I think her actions were beyond what I am capable of forgiving. Had she shown any signs of regret or remorse, I would possibly feel that she should be given a second chance. But she's neither apologetic nor regretful and, until she acknowledges the mistakes that she's made and the impact of what she's contributed to, she's beyond redemption imo.

I might add that I did apologise first thing this morning, after donning my correct glasses.

I did get the girls and fathers muddled up, I have apologised, thank you for pointing out Maryeliza.

I do understand that when people are passionate about a subject posts can get "overheated".

There was one, if not more, at the time and it is not entirely irrelevant here as the perpetrator was a 'soldier of the caliphate' as is SB's Dutch husband.

1. the person approached by The Times, we don't know everything, surprise surprise the press have an agenda.
2. In answer to the question, I would not be in favour of allowing her to return unless she could provide useful information.
3. The discussion is wandering all over the place , mentioning FGM, the Jewish religion, grooming gangs and people allegedly getting council housing.

We are discussing someone associated with and ISIS terrorist, the same type of people who carry out bombings in our country.

You can post any opinion that you want but it's only your opinion that whatever you say, is correct.
What is unacceptable maryeliza is the way that you attack other posters in an over the top, nasty manner.
There are ways to speak to other people, especially people that you don't even know.
