What do people think about the young woman who ran away to join ISIS and now wants to return here to have her baby in safety?
I don't know what to think. I'm sorry her last babies died but I'm horrified to hear her dismiss unbelievers' heads in bins as 'enemies of Islam'. Any thoughts?

Maryeliza thank you for your précis of this thread.

So poor eyesight is the defence for libel is it? Bless.

maryeliza54 Fri 15-Feb-19 22:03:36

WTAF? You’d think people might know who was who wouldn’t you before they pontificate and rant and vent. Not only are some posters muddled up about which girl is which but they are muddled about the fathers. Let me try and explain it as simply as possible
1. 3 girls ran away together - Amira Abase (AA), Shamima Begum(SB) and Kadiza Sultans(KS)
2. It is thought they were influenced by a 4th girl who went the year before - Sharmeena Begum
3. It is believed that KS was killed in an airstike
4. SB is the one who spoke to the Times and who this thread is about.
5. Her parents are of Bangladeshi origin
6. AA’s parents are of Ethiopian origin and her father Hussen Abase was the one who admitted to attending an extremist rally

If you don’t know who’s who you’d be better off not posting really wouldn’t you - especially as SB’s father has been libelled on this thread. But still why let the facts get in the way of the lynch mob? So very very inconvenient

GrannyGravy13 Fri 15-Feb-19 21:54:14

Apologies SB is the subject of the OP.

maryeliza I have not lost the plot just to comfy on my sofa to get my glasses. My eyesight is not the best, sorry for any confusion.

Buffybee Fri 15-Feb-19 21:46:09

Apologies, the girl found in the camp was indeed Shamima Begum.
Amira Abase has chosen to stay with ISIS.

Buffybee Fri 15-Feb-19 21:39:55

Sorry -- Reporter

Buffybee Fri 15-Feb-19 21:39:15

This thread is about Amira Abase who has recently been "found" in a camp in Syria by a British Supporter.

maryeliza54 Fri 15-Feb-19 21:34:49

GG who is MS and SM? Have you lost the plot ? I thought this thread was about SB ( Shamima Begum) ?

Gonegirl Fri 15-Feb-19 21:26:59

Stocks?

Mycatisahacker Fri 15-Feb-19 21:08:43

Can she not be tried for treason?

Mycatisahacker Fri 15-Feb-19 21:03:04

What the flip does ‘reds under the beds’ have to do with this? You posted it. I took the piss re Salisbury and the Russians crying fake news.

Yes i think we are debating are we all not? confused

GrannyGravy13 Fri 15-Feb-19 20:48:11

This thread is about MS, I was referring to her Father.

Thank you Petra.

I am not combative verbally or physically, the original post is not about 4 women just SM who remarkably a "reporter" found.

The security of the UK is worth more than a few Jihadi brides who have realised they have made a mistake. In my opinion they/SM cannot be trusted.

Gonegirl Fri 15-Feb-19 20:46:50

"Debate" on as much as you wish, if that's what you want to call it. grin

Gonegirl Fri 15-Feb-19 20:45:31

WTF have the Salisbury poisonings got to do with anything?

Mycatisahacker Fri 15-Feb-19 20:40:29

My reference was to the Salisbury poisonings that your ‘reds under the beds’ narrative would probably seek to deny.

As here a very small minority cry islamsphobis when we are discussing this woman’s dreadful behaviour and comments.

Mycatisahacker Fri 15-Feb-19 20:36:37

Yes many many times to shut down debate just like crying islamophobic, racist, fake news, all to shut down debate.

I don’t know if that’s what you intended?

Mycatisahacker Fri 15-Feb-19 20:33:21

Race is a fact.

Religion is a lifestyle choice as are customs.

You can certainly discuss, criticise snd mock religions if you wish ditto customs.
That’s free speech.

You can’t mock or criticise race.,

Gonegirl Fri 15-Feb-19 20:32:13

Mycatisahacker have you not heard that phrase before? confused

petra Fri 15-Feb-19 20:28:57

I think I speak for GG13 as well
Hope that was ok GG13 grin

petra Fri 15-Feb-19 20:27:07

Maryeliza
Go figure.

maryeliza54 Fri 15-Feb-19 20:24:43

.Grannygravy and which woman are you referring to? There are 4 women in this story and they are all individuals and not interchangeable

maryeliza54 Fri 15-Feb-19 20:22:08

petra which woman are you referring to in your post ?

Witzend Fri 15-Feb-19 20:21:45

I have to say that I don't like the word 'racist' as applied to anyone denouncing or objecting to a particular religion, or aspects/adherents of it. Race and religion are two different things. There are Muslims of many different races - Middle Eastern, African, SE Asian, etc., not to mention many western converts - I gather the young woman's jihadi husband is a Dutch convert.

It's not like anti-Semitism, where race and religion are nearly always inextricably linked, since Jewishness descends through the mother. Anti-Semitism is certainly racist.

Maybe we need a new word - religionist?

Before anyone wonders whether I'm 'religionist' as regards Islam, I lived for 13 happy years in Muslim countries, and have only fond memories of the people.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 15-Feb-19 20:19:24

Petra I also saw the pictures of her father with the radical Islamic preacher. In this case it seems apparent that she came from a family who already held extreme views.

Mycatisahacker Fri 15-Feb-19 20:12:35

Reds under the beds

Is that the poisoning ones or is that a western conspiracy too?
