Good Morning Everyone,
Up early as usual, Its dark but no sign of any fog this morning, brackley.
My day today will be into Bicester via Buckingham on the bus links.
Usual Coffee stops in Bicester ,then back in Buckingham , being a Saturday will have a light lunch , then later get a Chinese take away.
Yesterday I managed to buy a soup spoon Chinese porcelain type, but unable to get a soup bowl in the same mode.
I like two types of Chinese soup, but think the spoons and bowl make it more authentic when eating at home.

Afternoon Mick
Enjoy your Chinese meal tonight.
EBay have a selection of Chinese Porcelain Soup Bowls...not too expensive.
Or try the charity shops.
Good Luck.

dragonfly, I was just thinking the same about Dora.
She hasn't been on GN for a few weeks.
I hope she is OK.

NanKate Sat 23-Feb-19 13:09:51

Afternoon Mick and folks.

Been full on here in Sussex with the DGC hence my late call in.

Hope you get your bowl Mick I too like to make things look authentic.

Hope Mr Kitty safely home.

Are you feeling a bit better now Mary having the family with you?

Won’t have time to post on GM thread tomorrow as there is a house full at DS. He is running the half marathon, his first, in Brighton tomorrow. He has almost raised £1,000 for CALM (Campaign against men living miserably). This is especially for men under 45 and their families who have experienced the dreadful implications of suicide or mental health problems. Please send him and all the runners raising money for good causes a special good luck from GN. Thanks.

A late good morning.
It's turning into another beautiful day.
I'm expecting my sister and BiL any moment. Not seen them for a while, so a bit of catching up to do.
Enjoy your day. ?

By the way has anybody heard from Doramarr recently. I seem to remember the last time she posted she had a very bad cold.

Good evening everyone. Quite cool here today....even have a cardi on!

Pittcity enjoy your cruise. We did that cruise last December and really enjoyed it.

Had the DGC here today. They made some cookies which were a success.

DH been watching rugby since 3pm!

Have a good day everyone

Pittcity Sat 23-Feb-19 09:57:13

Good morning from a warm, rainy Sydney where it's evening.
We've had a busy couple of days in the city and are off on a cruise to New Zealand tomorrow.

Good morning All x
Another lovely day dawns, no fog though once upon a time it used to indicate heat when it was seen in the summertime.
Enjoy it while it lasts.

Expecting GGC to breeze in at some point today so might join them for a swing in the little park just round the corner from where I am.I've always fancied a swing when going past there, but never without the children hahaha.

I feel as though I should have loads of washing blowing in the breeze, but haven't got that much as yet.

Hope this weather is kind for everyone to enjoy. It lifts the spirits after the darkness of winter.

Morning Michael, Annie and all. It was a bit misty earlier on, here in Berks, but is brightening up nicely.
Wish I had bought the polyanthus I saw in Tesco, yesterday. The lovely weather makes me want tobe out in the garden, but the I overdo things and collapse.
DH is so much better and we shall go out for our usual coffee meet with friends a bit later.

BlueSapphire Sat 23-Feb-19 09:39:02

Good morning from a grey Northampton but hopefully it will brighten up later.
Going to watch rugby this afternoon.
DGDs arriving this evening to stay for a few nights while their mum and dad go to Prague to celebrate DS's 40th birthday, so I shall be busy for the next few days!
Hope the day turns out nice for all.

Inamillion . Yes I have been doing that for yrs. Essentially I tripped down stairs then carrying my then baby and kept on running so as not to drop him.

Over the years
The left facet joint in my left leg was damaged and became very worn. Which now is causing a lot of discomfort.

OOPS when I started to add a bit more to my post I swore as the computer started writing it. I must behave . I really do not want that on my Tablet.
Red face from me.

Misty start in Norwich today! Hope sun breaks through! Stunning day yesterday, up to 17c and wall to wall sunshine! If anyone else says to me that “we will play for this fine weather later” I will scream!! We have had it and it’s fantastic, enjoy it!!!
A bit of ironing to do this morning and then some work on family tree! Just had email from cousin in Canada with more info she discovered in a pile of her late dad’s papers and some very interesting details emerged!!!
Have a good day everyone

Good morning, weather here in Worcestershire - beautiful and sunny. Really feeling like SPRING. Enjoy. Tidying the garden today.

Annapops Sat 23-Feb-19 09:12:47

Good morning all from a very grey County Durham.
Kitchen awaiting tiles and then it's completed. I'm so very happy with it as it's so light and cheery.
A market town drive out today to get some much needed fresh air, although I did go and do a 30 minute run outside yesterday and gave the gym treadmill a miss. I must admit I felt rather pleased with myself although it was hard.
Hope you all have a good day and find something to make you smile.

Harris27 Sat 23-Feb-19 08:58:13

Good morning everyone!Looks like it’s going to be another sunny day here in Shropshire.NannyJan,I haven’t been to Boscobel House since my girls were at primary school and I helped on a school trip but it is on our list of places to visit.DD2 lives in Stafford so the vintage cafe sounds a perfect place to meet.Hope everybody feeling under the weather start to feel better soon?have a good day everyone.

Brunette10 Sat 23-Feb-19 08:43:39

Good Morning from Fife. It’s a quiet start to the day, no wind just very peaceful and I think it will be a nice day. Have our DGS’s for overnight stay tonight so hoping all goes well. Thinking of everyone today.

Marydoll Sat 23-Feb-19 08:30:21

Good morning all from a sunny Glasgow, despite that not being the forecast.
Very restless night, due to my painful hands. Rather than lie abed, I got up and stuck hot cross buns in the oven. The house smells wonderful.
DD and fiance have invited themselves to lunch before they fly off to Budapest tomorrow, so I won't get much done.
I hope your DH gets home this morning, Kitty
Commiserations, Gaga, glad you found another dentist.
For all those feeling down or unwell, flowers
Enjoy your Saturday, everyone.

Mythbirtthedragon Sat 23-Feb-19 08:29:06

Good morning from a lifting mist in east London. If it clears as well as yesterday, we've got a warm day in store. Bit dozy at the moment as have been reading since before 6 but springing into action is imminent. Some food shopping is required including ibuprofen as DS has depleted our reserves with an ear infection. Hoping to get to the cinema later to see The Favourite. Have a good day.

NannyJan53 Sat 23-Feb-19 08:22:01

Good Morning from a bright and sunny Black Country, after a gorgeous warm and sunny day yesterday.

Had an enjoyable lunch with DS and family and Mum, at the 1940's café. It is attached to Boscobel House near Stafford.

Today, we will be stripping wallpaper, ready for the Plasterer to skim on Friday. Operation re-vamp kitchen slowly coming along.

Pleased Mr Lester is home today kitty, hope he will take it easy this weekend. Gaga that sounds like a lot of work to have done, but will be worth it to be pain free! Hope it all goes well flowers

Enjoy your Saturday everyone.

cornergran Sat 23-Feb-19 07:58:01

Morning Mick, morning All from a chilly, bright corner of Somerset. Need to finish yesterday’s sorting, do a small food shop, then some admin before a cuppa and a chat with a neighbour. Phew, I’m exhausted thinking about it. Mr Lester sounds an impatient patient kitty, but then don’t we all do better at home? Good luck with the dental treatment gaga, soon be pain free so worth it. Hope Saturday is kind to everyone.

Willow10 Sat 23-Feb-19 07:50:49

Good morning all from a misty E. Northants. No particular plans yet for today, I shall just let it unfold. I hope Saturday is good to everyone.

Urmstongran Sat 23-Feb-19 07:47:53

Good morning everyone from a mild and sunny South Manchester. The sky is a lovely shade of apricot over the Pennines as the sun is fully up - a big ball of bright orange.

I have my weekly appointment this morning for a wash and blow at the hair salon round the corner. It’s a real treat to have it done professionally! No plans today but no doubt something/someone will turn up!

Enjoy your Chinese tonight Mick.
A lot of appointments Gagagran ahead of you but worth it to finally be pain free.
