Thinking of the Panache pair and the emotional day they will have had if the viewing went ahead. So many conflicting things to think about. It’s hard to make huge decisions when you’re coping with extreme buggerations. I know I would want to take some time to process it all.

I’m in full list writing mode as we are off on a trip at the end of next week to drive the eastern coast of the USA and before that we’re up in town to see Mark Knoppfler at the O2....and we have a party to go to.....isn’t it always the way that everything comes in threes!

Good afternoon the kitcheners. I have had one of those occasions where a most unexpected visitor has turned up and brought that feel good factor. Isn’t it funny how there are people who bring sunshine and make you feel good about yourself - it was apt as my neighbour had delivered a verbal and unjustified put down the day before leaving me feeling wounded. So hurrah for those who are are kind and gentle with their words and actions. Savoury scones and cheese straws on the side. The gluten free ones are on the pink plate.

corner Dunster Castle is beautiful. Long ago I painted a watercolour of it using photos that I took during a visit. The village is also picturesque. I remember the butter market where I took more photos.

I had a lovely visit to littlest fella yesterday- we went to the William Morris house near them in Walthamstow and walked round and round the gardens, now Lloyd Park. It was hard to believe we were in London.
He is a sweetie, a very placid baby as long as Mama is about but happy for cuddles with Granny as long as she hasn’t gone too faraway.
Nightmare journey home, trains in chaos as there had been another fatality on the line north of MK. Everything delayed or cancelled, but the sadness of someone who feels driven to such action. And what must it do to the train staff who have to deal with it, especially the driver?
I am glad of a quiet morning at home with Hattie who is enjoying the sunshine.

N&G I am sure it will improve once I get the drops. It seems a daft decision that instead of sending you to the hospital pharmacy, you get scripts for ordinary pharmacies, who don’t carry the unusual items. Why not hold stocks of items commonly prescribed at A&E in the hospital pharmacy and use that? It will be 24 hours from diagnosis before I start treatment. Grrr

You're very good for first thing in the morning NannyT , I am still drinking that first, and arguably most important, coffee of the day and Sam is stretched out beside me snoring louder than a herd of pigs !! For a small dog he has some decibels !!

How is your eye this morning? Thank goodness for someone who has mastered that lost art f listening. Hopefully, the new medications will do the trick.

Not sure what the day holds for us yet, nothing terrifically exciting but there are days when I am comfortable in my little rut and pleased that there are neither high highs or low lows if you know what I mean.

You must be so disappointed that final chemo session didn’t happen callgirl, as must your son. Hope those platelets behave very soon. We like Watchet. It’s sort of old fashioned, a bit like us . I’ll lend you Mr C for the ironing if you like, he enjoys it, very slow but it gets done .

Suspect Tara may keep you awake charley. Good luck to you both. Dunster is on the Somerset coast near Minehead. Watchet a little way around the bay, small and easily walkable unlike Dunster castle where everything is up a steep hill, nothing seems to be down it . How does that happen?

I should be asleep, doesn’t seem to be happening though. Meeting a GN friend for coffee and lunch tomorrow, can’t sit yawning at her. Why is it sleep seems a remote prospect after a busy day? Another of life’s mysteries.

My legs, feet and lower back have played me up "summat rtotten" today, so haven`t done much, any offers to tackle Mt. Everest x 2 of ironing?

I have been reading another thread (I won’t mention it) and am feeling like the world has gone mad. I wish we could just all be kind to one another irrespective of who or what we think we are. ?

Finally saw someone who looked carefully and listened this afternoon, once I got past the guy who tried to persuade me to go home. I have uveitis and by tomorrow I shall have the correct eye drops plus painkillers- hurrah! May have more effect than artificial tears!

Evening All. Seriously achey feet here after an unexpected day out. The sun was shining so off we went to Dunster Castle and Watchet. I was perched on the wall you can just see in one of the photos having a cuppa, it was a long way up . Super day, pleased we went.

Lots of wonderful photos. Your garden is fabulous grannyq and those little boys always make me smile n&g. I hope grampy has got over his disappointment at coming second. .

Its been a glorious blue sky day here , Grampy was runner up for Man of The Year at slimming ( its not just judged on weight loss , but attitude and helpfulness. His campaign to win over the elderly ladies needs work plainly !
