Trendy teenager's clothes stores

DGD is 14 soon and I want to get her a voucher for a suitably trendy online clothes store. But they all seem so girly. She is tall and thin as a beanpole and only wears black, grey and navy, so all this pretty pink stuff is off limits. And she is quite introverted and not wanting anything flashy or glitzy.

Anyone out there more trendy than I and have a suggestion?

Oh yes Lucky teenage grandchildren certainly do that!

Thank you for all the great ideas - I have looked at lots and in fact have now bought her cropped black denim jacket - I emailed her Mum who said yes DGD will wear it!

I feel this thread has dragged me into the 21st century!

bluebelle Hollister sell girls clothes too, at ridiculous prices I think. My GD1 loves H&M and Top Shop and also orders online at BooHoo. Much more reasonable prices.

By the description you give “All Saints” will fit the bill.

Yes Sara they are good quality and they sell perfumes etc too. Hollister is also for girls.

crazyH We've got one of those, but I can't for the life of me remember the name. Never ventured inside. Too creepy!

Bluebelle Hollister has girls clothes and accessories also. (I have spent so much time in that flipping shop with my D when she was a teenager)

Jack wills is also good!

My youngest, again definitely not a girly girl, lived in it through her teens, and the quality is excellent, the hoodies just go on and on

My eighteen year old granddaughter is a massive fan, and she’s definitely not girly

I quite like it too actually

BlueBelle Mon 10-Jun-19 16:08:17

crazyh it’s Hollister you’re thinking of but that’s guys stuff not girls

I see a lot of teenagers with Jack Wills tops and hoodies. My DGD is just 19 but loved Jack Wills before she went to uni. No pink or frills there.

ASOS or H&M?
Or actual cash so it can be spent according to their own preferences?
My youngest son only wanted clothes from ONE shop for a while.
It was a small shop so not online.

Perhaps Boohoo or H and M

crazyH Mon 10-Jun-19 15:54:51

What's the name of the trendy shop, which is always kept dark.....you need a torchlight to look at the clothes in there.

Luckygirl Mon 10-Jun-19 15:54:23

Thanks for the ideas!

Gonegirl Mon 10-Jun-19 15:54:17

Sara65 why did you start me looking at UrbanOutfitters?

I might have to get this for DGS who has just got his first serious girlfriend.

kittylester Mon 10-Jun-19 15:53:40

He's a cool grandson!!!!!!

kittylester Mon 10-Jun-19 15:53:17

My 12 year old 'cool' (or so he tells me) asked for ASOS vouchers. Their prices are quite low and the clothes 'acceptable' in my view. You buy a voucher on-line and it is delivered on a specified day to the inbox.

Gonegirl Mon 10-Jun-19 15:47:48

Actually, my grandson would probably like that one! grin

Gonegirl Mon 10-Jun-19 15:46:37

I bet she'd like this one and you could get her a year's free next day delivery for £9.99.

I'm another with a teenage GGD who I want to steer away from those ghastly crop-tops, a shocking " invention " for young girls. My mother would have wrapped it round my neck if I'd appeared in one of those.

Gonegirl Mon 10-Jun-19 15:44:03

these look good

GrannyGravy13 Mon 10-Jun-19 15:42:20

Top Shop?

Sara65 Mon 10-Jun-19 15:42:09

Urban outfitters/zara

Gonegirl Mon 10-Jun-19 15:39:06

ASOS?
