Age of attaining grannyhood

I was 48.

Nearly 64.

I wanted my children when I was in my early 20's to get motherhood over and done with then work the rest of my life.
It doesn't always work out like that though.

50. She's 19 now. I was a bit shocked at first but she is the light of my life.

I was 55 and had just taken early retirement. She was a tiny preemie so I was very glad not to be working anymore!

I was 55 - it felt too young to me, I was the first of all my friends to become a gran. Am now 60 and most of my friends of the same age still do not have GC (I love mine to bits of course).

I was 39 when the first one was born the last one was born 18mths ago I was 69. They are all a joy to me and have given me 3 Grt GC with 2 more due soon. Family

I was 43 and my eldest granddaughter is now 30. The years have just flown by,

The day before my 50th birthday! Best present I ever had and she and I are very close. We will not have anymore and our daughter is an only child, too! ?

44 when the first was born and 68 when the last one was born.

First DGS was born when I was 48. Second when I was 61. Different Mums. Both a total joy to me.

I was 58!

I am 70 and my first grandchild was born 3 weeks ago!!

I was 59 and felt too young and not at all ready. Love my GD to bits though and hope for more.
My cousin was 39 - and while she and her daughter were quite young when they married, they weren't child brides!

49,I was 24 and a half when I had my daughter and she was exactly the sam eage when her son was born.He's 16 ,there are 3 wee girls from 12 to 8 and a new baby on the way.I've looked after them all from being very young until they started school.

My MIL was a granny at 43 he oldest GC is 41 now and her oldest GGC is 16.Her friend who is in her 80's too has only one GC and she is 11 ,she thinks MIL is so lucky to have grown up Gc

I was 65 and wish I had been younger so that I would have had more energy for playing football with the boys now. ?‍♂️

I became a grandma two weeks after my 50th birthday. He's made my life more joyful than I ever thought possible

I have a friend who is in her late eighties, her two grandchildren are both at Primary school.
I was a granny at 51, too. My eldest one is nearly 19.
