I have just seen the politician Chris Williamson on TV he just looks like Voldermort IMO.

Do you or your family resemble anyone ?

KatyK Thu 27-Jun-19 22:36:39

I was always told I looked like Miss Diane from Crossroads (Susan Hanson). I saw myself more as Brigitte Bardot. Such is life. grin

A bag of hammers on a good day. An old spanner on a bad one and everything in between. In other words a face that only a mother could love .

Callistemon Thu 27-Jun-19 23:22:15

My Dad, apart from my hair and eye colour iyswim

But that means nothing to anyone else on here grin

“That film star, the dead one”, apparently. Turned out to be Greta Garbo.

But I’ve just seen myself on TV and I look like an older version of my mum. I think I’ll rethink the “going grey gracefully” plan. smile

phoenix Wow!

No one's ever told me I look like anyone famous - good or bad grin but I have a photo of my maternal grandmother and I definitely look like her.

BradfordLass72 Fri 28-Jun-19 08:04:05

I don't look like anyone famous but I have lost count of the number of people who have accosted me, sure I was one of their friends or acquaintances, only to standing back in shock at my denial to say, 'But you look just like her.'

GabriellaG54 Fri 28-Jun-19 08:56:07

An older version of 25yr old me. ?

ninathenana Fri 28-Jun-19 09:11:20

ClareAB lucky you smile

I have the shape but sadly not the face or hair.

Framilode Fri 28-Jun-19 09:39:32

Used to be told I looked like Lesley Caron, now an old bag.

Rosina Fri 28-Jun-19 09:40:52

When we took wedding photos into work for one of those daft competitions, several people gasped and told me that I looked like a model....now I am gradually turning into my aunt Emily. The song 'I'm a little teapot' would describe it nicely.

SparklyGrandma Fri 28-Jun-19 09:44:02

My paternal grandmother, apparently it misses a generation, whatever ‘it’ is.

She lived to be 93 and was plump and apple shaped for about 40 years ?

Rosiebee Fri 28-Jun-19 09:45:10

Sat in front of mirror, with hair pulled back in towel and saw my dad and my brother stating back at me. Love them but wish it had been my mum. Tried but can't see anything of her in me and she was such a pretty lady.

henetha Fri 28-Jun-19 09:45:18

Someone told me, in my late teens, that I looked like Princess Margaret.
I positively glowed about this for several years until common sense kicked in.

icanhandthemback Fri 28-Jun-19 09:50:46

My son looks like Jack Black. I only watch his films because of the incredible resemblance. My Dad used to look like Dustin Hoffman which made him feel very good about himself!

Fennel Fri 28-Jun-19 09:50:58

When I was young a few people said I looked like Ingrid Bergman. But now I look more like one of my Dad's sisters.

EllanVannin Fri 28-Jun-19 09:51:35

I don't know, but the last compliment when D and myself were shopping was to my D who was told she was beautiful then an afterthought followed and the man said " your mum's not bad either "-----so make of that what you will.
This was last year said by a complete stranger.

Callistemon Fri 28-Jun-19 09:54:21

BradfordLass when you posted a photo of yourself on a thread, I thought I knew you too!!
grin
(are you sure you're not famous?)

Blinko Fri 28-Jun-19 09:56:13

I was told I looked like Jane Fonda. It was definitely a chat up line...grin

Nowadays I look like my mother, and in photographs, like a strange conflation of my two grandmothers.

Blinko Fri 28-Jun-19 09:57:42

See for yourself..except you won't know my grandmothers...

maryhoffman37 Fri 28-Jun-19 09:57:50

Judi Dench, according to my family. Incidentally, Chris Williamson looks nothing like Voldemort!

vena11 Fri 28-Jun-19 09:58:03

I look like myself, no one else like me grin

shysal Fri 28-Jun-19 09:59:21

My mother always said that I looked like Princess Anne - it is the nose! I can't see it myself.

Morgie52 Fri 28-Jun-19 10:03:09

We have an old Cavendish Toffee Poster framed of some past Royals including Queen Victoria. My granddaughter pointed to her the other day and said that’s you isn’t it Grandma! I should add it is a picture of her in her later years.
