Hello all,

As the title says, reallly.

Starting to think she calls the shots hmm and Harry goes along with it.

I never liked PH and do feel we are being seen as mugs by Meghan and him.
We paid for her security to go to Wimbledon, we always pay for the security so then they are never entirely private.

I think it is time to wind down the entire R. F.
Once Queenie goes then only the very next in line should be paid for and then put an end date on the whole business.
You can only modernise the RF by telling them to get jobs and stop being supported by the public.
We pay for a lot of their lives if not all so presumably they can learn to downsize to their budget which would still be a lot of money.
Also hasn't Meghan been 37 from before she married?

Bridgeit Tue 09-Jul-19 13:33:17

Let’s just say slagging off anyone be they famous or not brings out the worst in people.
My main point about the RF is that they did not ask to be born anymore than the rest of us.
Life is unbearably unfair, you only have hear the news to know that.
We are shown footage daily of starving children . We saw this when we were children , where has the money gone over the years , we still have extreme poverty, are you who are reading this prepared to give up what you have.?

IMO the young Royals are being positive & aware of their position, are aware that others who are not so fortunate, why knock people who didn’t have any choice in who they are BUT Do try to use their position to help others. ?
Look to yourselves before criticising others.

I think lots of us ladies wear at least on leg of the trousers if not both!
And a lot of men just want a quiet life, so are happy to oblige with one or two ‘yes dears ‘

Brings out the worse in people Bridgeit ? Was calling a poster a sad old woman the worse in you or can you go lower ?

Gonegirl Tue 09-Jul-19 14:04:22

Bridgit did change it to 'women'. It was an error. It was no one person in particular.

Gonegirl Tue 09-Jul-19 14:05:41

To be honest, I was on Meghan's side, all the way through. But that Wimbledon thing has rather made me think again.

Anniebach Tue 09-Jul-19 14:06:58

Then Bridget has joined the ‘sad old women posting here’

Bridgeit Tue 09-Jul-19 14:10:56

Yes Annie I can agree with you on that.

Bridgeit Tue 09-Jul-19 14:11:58

Thank You Gonegirl

I remember, a few years back, Prince Harry had finished his training at Sandhurst Academy and the Queen and Prince Phillip had gone to see him pass out. I "just happened" to be outside the gates at the time the royal car was leaving. Just me,( and son, slightly embarrassed, keeping well back). The Queen was in the further side of the car from me, so Phillip tapped her on the knee and pointed to me (me waving like a mad thing !). She leaned across and gave me a lovely smile and a wave!

That was a private occasion.

Learn from your betters Meghan.

Eloethan Tue 09-Jul-19 14:54:07

"learn from your betters Meghan" -my goodness, what a load of snobbery and nastiness on this thread.

Gonegirl Tue 09-Jul-19 14:57:33

It was a simple comment. Not snobbishness or nasty at all.

Gonegirl Tue 09-Jul-19 14:58:35

Do you realise how nasty, and snobby, your comment sounds?

Gonegirl Tue 09-Jul-19 15:00:34

Surely you acknowledge the fact that the Queen might just be a little better than Meghan, lovely as she is?

Anniebach Tue 09-Jul-19 15:03:52

But Eloethan you by criticising posters with ‘load of snobbery snd nastiness on this thread ‘, have posted nastiness. You criticise posters for criticising, no difference

i'm not sure with all the secrecy. what they hiding? i think harry should go get himself a job.(like william did).....you have to have a balance ,give the public what they want a few more photo's of baby.and more visits for charity. get themselves out and about.and dont wear so expensive clothes.!! after all its us tax payers that help keep them rolling in money.buckingpalace and other royal residences should pay bedroom tax. how many royals have extra bedrooms they dont use or pay for. its a disgrace.me i got 2 bedroom flat .yes theres just me and grandchildren when they come to visit.i have to pay for "spare" bedroom.. so where grandchildren meant to sleep.? in bed with me.? i think not so i pay £15 a week for my "spare" bedroom....living on just over £79 a week ,leaves me with £2 at end of the month more not than often ,if i remember not to spend more than £25 a month on food etc..you can forget new clothes/toiletries/eating out/days out.had to give up mobile i cant afford to pay for it.

I think that perhaps this young couple do have to realise that it is only the popularity of the RF that keeps them where they are! They live a life that most of us can only dream of, BUT there is a sting in the tail and that is, that in order for us to go on bankrolling the RF in this life, they in return have to keep our affection by, like the Queen, always be available in public with a smile, interest in what we're doing, admire our children, accept our gifts, wave to us ,and ALWAYS be gracious even on the worst of days! Being off hand and dismissive just won't do, and if these two insist on being grand and unapproachable , then the best thing they can do is live quietly abroad!

blondenana Tue 09-Jul-19 15:44:56

It is the constant smiling, my mother used to say never trust anyone who smiles all the time,it is never genuine

merlotgran Tue 09-Jul-19 16:53:20

Does Prince Harry have any royal engagements at the moment? He surely can't be spending all his time getting under the nanny's feet?

merlotgran Tue 09-Jul-19 17:06:06

Apparently about forty seats were left empty around Meghan due to the demands of her security detail. shock VIPs had to queue outside.

Kate is happy to sit with other VIPs in the royal box as were the Duke and Duchess of Kent. hmm

Gonegirl Tue 09-Jul-19 17:08:03

I hope he has! (Harry engagements) The poor old Queen's been tree planting.

EllanVannin Tue 09-Jul-19 17:42:54

I think Meghan's now become damned if she does and damned if she doesn't. Can't do right for doing wrong so far as the media and its followers are concerned.
Why can't they keep away ?

notanan2 Tue 09-Jul-19 17:58:47

Why can't they keep away ?

Why can't H&M chose a private rather than a working royal life if the public are so abhorant to them?

Why cant they just share their baby pics by DM with friends rather than titilating with hints of a foot?

Why cant M do her "private" socialising in private rather than at high profile events?

They could become obscure like so many of the other peripheral royals mostly. They chose not to.

Anniebach Tue 09-Jul-19 17:59:37

Why can’t Megan stop being a diva .

Harry must be on paternity leave !

SirChenjin Tue 09-Jul-19 18:56:08

Forget Meghan - I’ve just come back to this and want to know who the man is that has posted here often enough to qualify for the Les Dawson club confusedgrin
