Hello all,

As the title says, reallly.

Starting to think she calls the shots hmm and Harry goes along with it.

Fiachna That's not true.

The British Media have been nasty about Meghan from the start. Reminds me very much of what they were like with the Duchess of York and Princess Diana. I don't know Meghan, so cannot really comment. However, British Media is biased and nasty. If your face doesnt fit you have had it

Personally I thought Meghan was lovely ... at first. She was welcomed here and people were pleased to see Harry so happy, and we felt sorry for her with the problems with her family, although later we began to wonder ..... but her attitude of doing her own thing, seeming to love the limelight far too much, "hitting the ground running" as she stated she wanted to do, "what Meghan wants, Meghan gets", etc and what seems like arrogance at wanting to change traditions she knows nothing about, have put people off, plus her hypocrisy over not practising what she preaches, the drip-feeding of photos of Archie which is so silly, and on and on ....... I have certainly gone off her.

Reminds me of this video of me, in the early 70s ...

(lol of course it is not me, but it could have been. 'Business' dinner parties in the early 70s (not the 20s of even 50s) - when women were expected to leave the table after dinner to 'let the chaps have proper conversation, port and cigars' - and go and powder their nose (not in the 'modern' sense ;) ) and have a little chit chat about fashion or babies bottoms.

I had a game with one of my GSs Callistemon. Whenever he pressed the button on a particular musical toy, granny started dancing. Never been so worn out in my life. hmmgrin

Callistemon Mon 22-Jul-19 15:44:10

Oh no, wish I'd never said it

I was so pleased when that book fell to pieces - it had a button which DGD used press over and over and over ….. and we had to do all the actions over and over and over ……

grin

The word happy looks very odd written down that many times hmm

SirChenjin Mon 22-Jul-19 15:11:06

I'm happy that you're both happy Gonegirl and Callistemon, I'm happy that the RF are happy that H&M are happy and I'm happy that there's so much happiness in the world as a result of the happiness that H&M bring us all grin

Bridgeit Mon 22-Jul-19 14:30:33

Kate probably had lessons in walking with dignity whilst at Malborough, because walking that way is very important when attracting a husband. It's what netted me DH - I was most impressed by his dignified walking and thought, yep, he'll do.

I looked at this thread last night then went to bed and had a dream in which I met Meghan in a tea shop in Devon. She made me give her the dressing gown I was wearing, which was most unfortunate as I had nothing on underneath! grin

Moral of the story - don't read Gransnet just before going to bed. ?

Gonegirl Mon 22-Jul-19 13:04:08

I think they are really happy that he is happy.

Gonegirl Mon 22-Jul-19 13:03:37

Gonegirl Mon 22-Jul-19 13:03:10

MissAdventure Mon 22-Jul-19 13:02:37

I'm sure whatever they think it could hardly be worse than a lot of the opinions on here.
