Definitely right!

BBbevan Sun 07-Jul-19 13:00:14

I have just read the answers and then found this. Bottom of the class me thinks☹️

Gonegirl Sun 07-Jul-19 10:58:34

have I spelt definitely right there? confused Why does it look strange.

Aw heck!

Gonegirl Sun 07-Jul-19 10:57:39

Yep! Definiteley the latter. grin (says something about my brain cells too hmm)

MawBroonsback Sun 07-Jul-19 10:45:09

Oops! Crossed posts I fear (or the speed (?) of my brain cells) grin

Gonegirl Sun 07-Jul-19 10:44:26

I think I understand it now. confused

Gonegirl Sun 07-Jul-19 10:43:56

Ok Maw! I've explained.

MawBroonsback Sun 07-Jul-19 10:43:12

Oh calm down Gonegirl - just a bit of fun, and from one “Senior” to another.
You could try it on your grandchildren or the next pub quiz!

Gonegirl Sun 07-Jul-19 10:43:06

Oh! I didn't see the bit about the answers. Its was all trick questions. I think.

Right.

Callistemon Sun 07-Jul-19 10:40:04

Bathsheba viewed from the waterfront at Greenwich it looks rather impressive!
But not quite the same as its namesake. grin

I still think that the answer to Q9 is debatable!

Gonegirl Sun 07-Jul-19 10:36:08

That's ageist! And insulting to seniors.

Can't believe people on Gransnet like that.

Glammy57 Sun 07-Jul-19 10:34:40

Maw. ?

gillybob Sun 07-Jul-19 10:32:50

I was quite impressed that DH managed to answer every single question wrong without even thinking about it . Q9 was a particularly impressive answer....Geese.

Bathsheba Sun 07-Jul-19 10:32:01

6) It's London namesake doesn't have quite the same ring does it? ?

Although, according to the Evening Standard, it's the top place to live in London nowadays!

Callistemon Sun 07-Jul-19 10:29:17

Perhaps a triple trick?
Answers on the other thread!

Bathsheba Sun 07-Jul-19 10:25:07

Q9 is a double trick question!

Yes! Very clever to drop that one in grin

Callistemon Sun 07-Jul-19 09:13:24

Do we have to embarrass ourselves by posting our answers?

Feelingmyage55 Sat 06-Jul-19 23:09:35

Is there a prize? Please?

Marydoll Sat 06-Jul-19 23:05:56

Callistemon grin.

Callistemon Sat 06-Jul-19 22:34:17

Q9 is a double trick question!

Urmstongran Sat 06-Jul-19 22:29:28

I love your tongue in cheek quiz Maw
I’m pretty certain I’ve got them ALL right ha!
??

Callistemon Sat 06-Jul-19 22:22:26

Oh dear, I asked DH Q1 and got a long involved answer about it being on then off, who started it, press the snooze button, eventually I think he told me the answer which I've forgotten

Bathsheba Sat 06-Jul-19 22:12:27

I'm fairly confident I know 5 of the answers. And another 2 possibly...

mcem Sat 06-Jul-19 22:07:18

Oh dear. When I visited the Canaries I !thought I was in the Atlantic!

MiniMoon Sat 06-Jul-19 21:41:07

I'm sure I know the answers to 6 of them. I have no idea about the camel hair brush although I do know that artists use them.
