I've played WWF for several years now (on my phone, if that's relevant), and engage with new players fairly regularly. For the first time today, a player has challenged me whose game is flagged as FASTPLAY and it appears to have a 24hr limit on each move. Slightly smaller board, too - 11x11 squares, but the game is proceeding as normal.

I've never seen a Fastplay game before - do I have the option to start these?

I could, of course, message him to enquire but I'm reluctant to start a conversation with someone so early in our playing history!

I ve played for a few years too but not come across the fast play option either I wouldn’t hesitate to ask you’re never going to meet him or give him your name so what’s to lose
People are always speaking to me from the first throw, some are a pain in the axxx, but then it’s my choice not to answer them

Thanks for the insight, BlueBelle . Over the years I've learned quite a lot about some of my opponents and enjoy our occasional messages, but there seem to be a lot of men out there who see WWF as an alternative to Tinder! Probably should have chosen a nice cat photo instead of one of me - but I'm decidedly no oil painting! grin

Have also played WWF for a number of years but haven't been challenged to a fastplay game. I sometimes p!ay solo challenges which is against the computer. Please feel free to PM me if you want to start a game. My username on WWF is different from my GN name!

Oh yes I have great fun with these chatter uppers My friend doesn’t have any and the only difference is I have a photo and she doesn’t but I don’t seem to be able to take it off as it connected through fb
Anyway it’s no big deal I make up as much as they obviously do, as they are nearly always in oil and gas and widowers??? I ve had every profession imaginable and lived all over the place, they lap it all up

What on Earth is WWF?
I think it sounds safer to stick to sudoku!

‘Words with friends’ it’s a word game similar to scrabble and you are pitted against people from all over the world it is great fun and passes many a half hour for me especially in the middle of the night I ve been playing a good few years and haven’t tried it it You canhave a number of different games going at once and there opportunities to play against the computer as well as people
There is a chat facility available which you can use or not use as you wish

I have the answer (I sent a message and asked him) - it's a feature on NEW WWF, as opposed to WWF2. Apparently at the start of each game you have the choice of Fastplay or Classic.

And granfromafar and I have just had a great, challenging game together, so I'm really glad I posted here.
