Just recovered from a spell of full on granny duty. Mostly doing it on my own as it was a last minute arrangement by which time the old boy had commitments he couldn’t get out of. I now have fresh respect for lone grandparents, it’s blooming hard work on your own. Just read your account of granny duty Maw, you’re a superstar!!
Anyway we all survived, had some fun along the way and managed to contain the younger gd anxieties at missing her mum. Not sure where this anxiety she’s experiencing is coming from, her mum thinks it’s connected to the upcoming year 6 residential that she is already worrying about. Her big sister was determined to bake yesterday, as I’d done with her sister earlier in the week. So bake she did, I left her washing up while I sat down for a bit and wondered what was taking her so long. Bless her she’d dried it all, tidied the kitchen and put it all away! She drew a design of how she wanted the cake to look and then patiently stood and carried our her plan. Help yourself to a slice, but not if you’re diabetic...low in sugar it ain’t!
Great news on the baby front, glad to hear all is well mamissimo That’s such a lovely picture of you with your son soop., these family times are very special indeed. Ann I’m glad you’ve got some satisfaction at last and feel you can now draw a line under it all. Not everyone would be able to see it that way. greyduster, we can change curtains here, even but new ones too... so long as there is no change to the curtain poles arrangements... that would be several steps too far!
I know I’ll have missed lots of folk but I must away. dd4 due any minute and the dinner needs a bit of sorting out. As always Toya and wishing you a good weekend x
