J cloth s. Hygeine

What was he draining? I wouldn't be using J cloths, they may harbour too much bacteria and would have to be washed properly. I use a colander and I have a large strainer also.

I recently saw James martin using j cloths to drain food on his programme. I thought this a great idea much better than paper but just wondered if this was hygienic ? Or if he use something that looks like j cloth
