Good morning everyone from Ontario, Canada! It’s a beautiful, sunny to be 28 degree day here. It’s my son’s 28th birthday today! Off to decorate his front porch now with balloons and a banner...a fun tradition I can’t let go of! Then shopping, gardening and house cleaning are on my agenda today! Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hello everyone, the storm is gathering up speed here in N Somerset and we are ready for it. I went out earlier this morning while it was still fine and did a bit and now home and looking forward to sewing, reading and talking to my husband. Make the most of the bad weather and have a restful day.

Good morning to everyone. Trying to catch up today as DH recovering from operation and just put washing machine on but now raining! So having a quiet day and trying to keep the house quiet, people very kindly ringing to see how DH is. Might have another go at my knitting later on. Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a wet NE. Rain started here at 4.45am, I know because I was watching the CCTV screen in the study.
Another disturbed night but did get a lot of my book read.

Yesterday enjoyed, what appears to have been, the last of the summer. Drove to the seaside and walked along the pier, watched a sailing ship through the binoculars. We had an ice cream after our walk at a kiosk above the promenade. When we went to sit down there was a mam and dad with a puschair and it contained triplets only a few months old, they had their hands full.

Trying to prepare the house for the arrival of the full on, super powered grandsons in a week's time. Have to do it now as we are shortly away for a few days in Leicestershire and I will have the pleasure of meeting up with one of our lovely GN members for the second time, can't wait.

Bore da pawb! Home in sunny Wales and off to do a shop at Waitrose- got vouchers offering £14 off a £70 spend and a free coffee to boot!

It’s very wet and breezy here in South Yorkshire. I don’t know what time the rain arrived but it must have been in the early hours as it was still dry at midnight. If it thundered, I didn’t hear it. ?
Hope all goes well with your move, today, Elliane and that it’s not too stressful.
Not a lot planned for today, just a bit of ironing to finish off - did the bulk of it yesterday. I think I will settle down with my book later.

Slept right through until 9 o’clock which is unheard of.
Looked out and Charlie the robot mower is scooting about the lawn!

Will go and see Mum today then Beech ut I too will watch 800 words - I love it.

Maybe treat myself to an Aperol spritz tonight as not drinking at the moment.

I shouldn’t have commented the other day i’d Had a few nights decent sleep cos last night, back to usual, so tired already today.
It rained heavily overnight here in Staffs.
DD1 and family were supposed to be returning from France Calais/Dover late Saturday but have managed to get a tunnel crossing Sat morning instead. Be glad when they’re safely back home.
Off for supermarket shop this morning; some things for DD1 and we have a dear friend coming to stay next week. She’s driving up from south coast on Tuesday do Hope weather’s decent.

Morning everyone. Very dull day here in Surrey. It rained in the night, has stopped for the moment but very dark clouds so more to come I expect.

Just finished drinking tea in bed with a very comfortable cat lying across my legs! Nothing really planned today just some housework so Im having a lazy start. Hope you all have a good day.

We went back to Wentworth to walk in the park and photograph some very obliging deer. We are not going far today. Gilly you coin a good phrase! That made me smile! Have a good day folks!

Well, what can I say ? Woke up a couple of times in the night because the rain was so heavy it sounded as though someone was chucking buckets of water at the window. It was a dreadful night.
It's no better today with a heavy sky and storm expected then the same tomorrow and by the look of the forecast all next week as well

I got to see the nurse yesterday about my bleeding nose and happily the INR was within normal limits so nothing to worry about . Apparently I can pop in any time if ever I'm bothered about something, not that I ever do but the offer was there which I thought made a change from the waiting and queuing that you hear about.

No shopping to do as such just extra cat food which I'll get between showers.

Hope the weather doesn't disrupt anyone's plans today.

Good Morning from a very wet Fife, it's rained the whole night and is still raining. Like Marydoll the heating is on. Woke up with a headache today for some reason so will be having a very quiet day today. I'm a fair weather person don't like going out in this horrible weather. Gillybob your picture made me laugh so thank you for that, you see your Friday's aren't all that bad. I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone from an already hot and sunny Malaga. The Terral passed yesterday mid morning so it was much more pleasant altogether and I slept really well last night.

I had a manicure at the salon just outside the apartments yesterday (handy!) and I’ve got a pedicure and foot massage with mint gel booked for 5pm today. As with most small businesses out here she closes her salon between 2pm and 5pm. We were saying yesterday how hard it must be for outdoor workers in the August heat as it’s still hot at 7pm.

Hope Friday is good to us all whether we have plans or none. x

It's been raining overnight here as well, although I didn't hear anything.

DH's radiotherapy was cancelled yesterday, as the machine broke down. He was due to finish treatment on Monday, but will have to go on Tuesday now. Upside was, we went out and had a lovely time, and he felt better for the bit of gentle exercise.

I was going to go on the bus to the next town, but as there are (more) roadworks holding uo the traffic flow, I think I'll give it a miss.

Marydoll, enjoy the wedding tomorrow, and for all those on holiday, hope the weather is not spoiling things.

Good morning from an extremely wet NE Coast where (typically) we have a severe weather warning in place for the entire weekend. Summer?

Had supper out at the local pub last night, Thursday is shoe leather steak night . Jeez it was tough going. Still the 3 large glasses of wine helped wash it down and I woke up with a bit of “a head”.

Just finishing my cuppa and ibruprofen breakfast and will make a mad dash out to the car in about 30 minutes.....this is not just rain, this is M&S rain ! Infact if Carlsberg made rain well it would probably look something like today.

I’m smiling because it’s Friday folks. Yippee. x
