Does anyone live in Dungeness area?

I don't but do know people who have happily retired there and I think housing is quite cheap. It's not too far from Ashford for fast trains. I'm not sure if it is suitable if you don't drive.

excellent fishmonger!!!!! Lovely walks. Great birding. Good pubs. The miniature railway runs all year round. Close to Channel tunnel and ferry ports. The Romney Marsh churches are very interesting but if you are looking for a lively time probably not good

Thanks for the info. I know the area really well. Been holidaying there for more than ten years but just wondered what it was like to retire there.
