Good Morning everyone, it is sunny here in mid derbyshire, the clouds have lifted and all is well with my world... have made bread for today, just have to put into oven, then off to deliver a bag of clothes to charity shop... then back to do ironing, just another day of pottering around...

Good morning everyone! I always look to this thread late in the morning. ? must try and remember when I wake up at the crack of dawn ?. It’s warm with a promise of sun here in Chelmsford, hopefully it will stay that way and the soggy ground may dry up a little.
Good wishes to all for the rest of the day ?

Good Morning All x

Now I've got Mussorgsky's music in my ear,MawB, thanks ! I love those dramatic music pieces.

A sunny morning so taking a chance with the bedding. Rushed out to the corner shop for cat food for the stray who lives outside in the kennel so I've been up and about early-ish. Staying put for a delivery but must get to Asda at some point.

Thinking of the Gillybob's today and also those who have appointments or are unwell. You're not supposed to feel off-colour after a holiday,Marydoll ! Hope you get sorted.

Possibly a visit from D today, I never know when it's her time off as it varies from week to week but always glad to see her whenever it is. Her work schedule has made me more independent I think because it means I have to do things for myself, including shopping half the time though I do get a taxi back as I can't now carry loaded bags as I used to do, though according to what I read, carrying bags is good for the muscles in old age as it stops them from shrinking ! Who wants to end up looking like Popeye ??

Anyway, back to the grind so here's hoping everyone's day goes well.

Good morning from the New Forest, where today it is sunny and bright. Late start today as I woke about 4 and decided to tire myself out reading. Didn’t work til about 7. Off for a walk on the coast today, did a damp 8 miles in the forest yesterday and met ponies, pigs, deer and cattle. Have a good day.

Good Morning all from a dull but dry Bristol.

Thinking of you all this morning as it seem there is a lot going on for you all. I wont try and put everyone down on here but I wish you all the best in everything that you all have to do today.
Take care .

Morning Michael, Annie and all.
It's very still here, no sun and no rain, yet!
Gillybob, another set of best wishes to Mr GB today for his appointment. I do hope they 'sort him out'
Marydoll, is your leg rash a reaction to an antibiotic? That happened to me when I took Nitrofurantoin.
I have another Freecycler coming this morning, to collect a very old wooden step ladder (paint splodges, not an option)?
I haven't used Freecycle for years, after a few no shows, but this time all is well, so far ?
We have a very smart new Mini Cooper lodging on our drive at the moment. His owners are having lots of topsoil delivered, and don't want him scratched. He is lovely ?, but not red.

Volunteering this afternoon, so am looking forward to that.
Have a good day one and all.

Good morning from a very grey Northampton.

Goodness, so many people to think of this morning!

MawB, hope you have a wonderful holiday.

GagaJo I am so glad I'm not in the classroom any more! Good luck!

Marydoll I hope you find some relief when you see the doctor.

To NanKate and NannyJan who have been to the wonderful county of Wiltshire, I am so envious. Avebury is just a couple miles from where I spent my childhood, and Lacock also very close. There is a lovely garden centre in Lacock.

Hope all goes well for gillybob and her DH.

Thinking of you Alygran. It is just over 18 months since my DH died.

A bit of pottering this morning, then a Health Walk after lunch. This evening going to see Margaret Atwood live in cinema with DD and DDil - we are all fans, but I don't think I shall read her sequel to 'The Handmaid's Tale'. I couldn't face watching the follow up series on tv. I prefer her non-dystopian fiction.

Hope today is kind to all.

Good Morning all from a wet Fife once again. . Off out for coffee with a friend at 10 this morning, didn't have a good night's sleep but I'll survive as we all do. Gillybob thinking of you and your DH. Mary glad you are home safely and you've enjoyed your hols. Shame about having to go to docs though. I'm sure all will work out. Take care all.

Good morning everyone from Malaga. The sun’s up.

My husband returns to South Manchester today and I am staying on another week.

Does absence make the heart grow fonder?

All the best gillybob for your husband’s appointment with the specialist this morning. I do hope he gets surgery or a procedure soon that will enable him to feel better again. It’s an anxious time for you both I’m sure.

Busy Marydoll too! Your poor legs sound as though they need a coat of looking at. Hope your doctor can sort the problem for you.

Alygran ?

And Maw your holiday sounds amazing. Even though I couldn’t pronounce the words you wrote ....
?

Hopefully Tuesday will be kind to us all whether we have plans or (like me) none. x

Good Morning from a cloudy S Welsh coast.
Still in bed with a cuppa. A day of much needed rain here yesterday, forecast is drier today.
Best wishes for your DH's visit to the Consultant gilly, hope you get things sorted.
Lacock is beautiful NannyJan the setting for so many films and period dramas. The Fox Talbot museum is also excellent.
Hope everyone has a good day.

NanKate Tue 10-Sep-19 07:33:57

Good morning from murky Leicestershire.

Hope all goes well today gilly and marydoll.

Bit of a setback yesterday. I had the dreaded drain out but they think I have an infection so on antibiotics.

Cleaner and gardener coming today though so doesn’t get better than that!

kittylester Tue 10-Sep-19 07:30:50

Morning all from a misty North Leicestershire.

Carer's course this am and then I think some gardening is necessary this afternoon.

I won a box of chocolates at my niece's baby shower last night so I might have changed my opinion of them.

Good luck to mr&mrsgillybob! And, to marydoll with their medical appointments.

NanKate Tue 10-Sep-19 07:29:50

Morning Mick and All.

Chilly start in South Bucks.

Back from a lovely few days hols were we visited a fab sculpture exhibition set in the grounds of the Manor at Avebury. Also saw ‘Kiss me Kate’ at the Watermill near Newbury. Our hosts invited us to join them one evening to sit by the small stream in their garden being warmed by a small fire. We provided the wine and nibbles, just lovely.

Back to reality today having my feet sorted.

So pleased you managed your much needed holiday Mary. Do hope you can get your doc’s appointment.

mumofmadboys Tue 10-Sep-19 07:28:08

Hoping the appt is really helpful for your DH Gilly

Alygran Tue 10-Sep-19 07:27:27

Good morning. Blue sky above low lying mist across the fields behind my house today. Feels like autumn in North Yorkshire!
It’s 2 years today since DH died so feeling very sad and out of sorts. Will take flowers to the church yard later.
Parents charity meeting this morning, tea with my lovely neighbour this afternoon and history society this evening.
Thinking of Mr and Mrs Gillybob
Hope the day is kind to you all.

NannyJan53 Tue 10-Sep-19 07:25:02

Good Morning from a dull but warm Black Country.

I am off on a U3A trip today to Lacock Village. Stopping off in Cirencester on the way. Weather forecast is good sunshine I have to leave at 8am! Not used to early starts any longer!

Glad you are home safe and sound *Marydoll^ and you
enjoyed your break.

Thinking of gillybob today and hope all goes well for Mrgillybob

Have a good day everyone.

GagaJo Tue 10-Sep-19 07:21:57

Urgh! Teaching all day for 3 days (today is middle day) without a single free lesson. Have LOADS of admin to do too but no time until after school.

At my desk already.

gillybob Tue 10-Sep-19 07:21:51

Good morning from the NE coast where the sun is just peeping through the low clouds.

I am just about to open the breakfast cafe, a little later than normal but none the less well stocked.

DH and I will be taking the children to school “together” (well that’s a miracle in itself) and then carrying on towards the hospital where DH finally has his appointment with the consultant . I hope and pray they can offer him some temporary relief from the pain and discomfort and that his operation will be soon.

Anyway not a lot more to say this morning really except a huge thank you to all of those who have sent good wishes.

I’m sorry your holiday is over Marydoll and you have arrived home not feeling too good.

Have a good Tuesday everyone x
