Food for thought here and it's not Oirish stew!
An article in a recent edition of "The Oldie" mag. by a Mary Kenny caught my eye, quoting an Irish-American poet, essayist and undertaker, Thomas Lynch on the topic of "assisted dying", which is now legal in VIC and soon in WA I believe.
He thinks "death should be savoured as an experience, not recoiled from under anaesthesia"
Not sure I can go along with that; I even recoil at the prospect of having a tooth extracted even with anaesthesia!
