This thread reminds me of my attempts to buy a Kevin the Carrot family - Aldi started accepting advance orders on their website yesterday and when I logged on early afternoon they were already out of stock! what I find galling is that I am sure a lot of these were purchased with the sole intent to sell on eBay at a vast profit.

I gave my granddaughter her Edgar last Friday. Have received photographs, Edgar watching tv, Edgar sitting by the Christmas tree, Edgar sitting at the table , three places laid, one for granddaughter, one for her partner, one for Edgar. Even have messages from Edgar saying goodnight and good morning. And Edgar is vegan !

Now authors are complaining that Edgar is a plagiarism - JL has pinched their ideas and stories of dragons.

I never heard St George complaining when they wrote their books confused

Goodness, I think I was very lucky to find one when I wasn't even looking!
He's now going to be an extra present for Gds and Gdd to share - luckily they're pretty good at sharing.

Out of stock everywhere.

I wasn't going to keep him so wouldn't have to dust him!

You will regret it when the novelty's worn off and he's covered in dust. grin wink

Living in Wales I am so use to dragons!

EllanVannin Thu 21-Nov-19 13:53:56

Oh, it'll have to be on my list I suppose. Though Komodo dragons give me the horrors.

Smileless2012 Thu 21-Nov-19 12:50:25

I bet your grandson will love him. She was just being a grouch!

Witzend Thu 21-Nov-19 08:11:35

From the JL TV ad.
I was queueing to pay for just a few things in Waitrose the other day, when a staff member started loading a stack of soft cuddly Edgars on to a stand right by the checkout.

Afraid to say I succumbed and bought one for Gds (3) for Christmas. He's rather into dragons at the moment. The woman behind me said he was ugly, and I suppose he is, but then he's a dragon and I don't think they're renowned for their beauty. In any case, there's loveable ugly and horrible ugly, isn't there?
