Right, kitcheners, get busy. You know the routine. The tin of flapjacks to keep you going is in the corner with a kettle. The water's already on.

Lovely to have you in the kitchen, Sar53 smile

soop Sat 04-Jan-20 14:17:34

How irritating. The message that I've just this minute posted, was straight forward.

I shall return later this afternoon to update and comment on all your recent posts.

soop Sat 04-Jan-20 14:15:28

I am very cross. Having logged in three times, I have lost the long message that I have wanted to share with you all. What's going on? I shall return later and try yet again. TOYA

Some of you have been, and in some cases still are, unwell, so I send my best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Not a good time to be ill, but then there never is a good time.
It is dull and chilly here today, I have just received a last minute invitation to eat out tonight.
My neighbour had booked to take her daughter out for a meal but her daughter has gone down with a bug so she asked if I would like to go before she cancelled, I was delighted as both my “lodgers” are out tonight.
It is a Malaysian restaurant, I don’t “do” spicy but I find the food there is ok.
I am sad we have heard nothing from the Panache’s ,
I hope they are being looked after well, whatever the situation.

Congratulations grannygravy.He is absolutely beautiful???
Our lurgy is still hanging around, seems quite comfortable here?but I am definitely improving each day.DH isn’t doing as well but have sent for an online order with tempting food so hopefully if he can manage to eat something he will improve soon.I have lost 9lbs since Christmas Eve?
Charley and Synonymous and anyone else suffering, really hope you feel better soon?
Soop,I tried watching Dracula but it wasn’t for me,DH enjoyed it though??‍♂️
TOYA and thank you for all your support while we have been unwell.x

I felt so much better I went clothes shopping in sales yesterday and spent zilch. I had settled down to watch TV when I started sneezing again and thought my cold had returned. I am okay today but when is this lurgy going to go for good?

I have spent so much time "resting" I 'm superglued to the chair and thank goodness I have a cleaner- my house is bad enough without her appreciated appearance.

Enough of me- that baby is delightful. GrannyG you mentioned that you and the father were exhausted- how about the mother- the one who did all of the work? Knowing how the NHS works she is probably at home now.

I do hope that minx Smokie returns soon- it is so upsetting even when they have overstepped their curfew by an hour. The warmer weather probably enticed him to stay out for longer.

Crossed posts Synonymous I hope you feel better really soon.

dragonfly46 Sat 04-Jan-20 11:59:39

How exciting GrannyG he is indeed very beautiful, congratulations.

I have just spend a lovely few days with the DGC. I was a little worried as I was only 5 days out of chemo but it is amazing what the distraction can do. They were an absolute delight. GD is 4 and a half, as she keeps telling me and GS is 22 months. I was pleased that the parents were in attendance but we all had a lovely time and I managed to produce meals and play with them all to everybody's satisfaction. I am now shattered but have weeks to recover!

I hope everyone with the lurgy is now feeling better especially Corner as I believe it has been going on some time.

GrannyG congratulations to the whole family, he is gorgeous! flowers

soop I very much hope that you will be properly sorted out every soon now, it has been going on far too long. I just don't know how you have managed to keep going and do all that you do, you are very much appeciated! cupcake

Very much thinking of everyone dealing with lurgies, impending operations and not least sadnesses and loss. Bless each and every one of you. X

As for us, I am still waiting on test results as my Dr was concerned about pneumonia but he gave me an inhaler which helped me to get some breath. A bit frightening not to be able to get oxygen! I am half way through the antibiotics which I was told I must have but they were worse than the problem they were supposed to counter until I googled the stuff and discovered that if you take them with milk you don't get the side effects. Praise the Lord for that! smile Himself is still coughing but not too bad now but neither of us has much energy. So thankful to have a wonderful support network around us, just didn't realise how much our helpers cared, what a blessing! Makes us so much more confident going into the future.
Smokie stayed out again last night and still hasn't returned. His mum was feral so I think it it must be in his makeup but we do still fret about him. Himself wonders if he has another 'home' going but I think everything is so exciting to him that he 'forgets' everything else like his humans. So pleased that the badgers seem to be staying out of the garden now because they are not friendly towards cats. Apparently they don't truly hibernate in the winter as I thought they did so I just hope they have a good stash of goodies in their set! hmm

TOYA flowers
