Saw Dave Allan live years ago and he was brilliant. Julian Clary in his days as the Joan Collins Fan Club was also hilarious. I loved the late Bill Hicks - more recently, Daniel Sloss' live shows are excellent.

I like Sean Lock, Rhod Gilbert (seen both live), Mickey Flanagan. I thought Bob Monkhouse was great for ad-libbing.
