Just wondering where all us gransnetters are posting from? I know from being on here a while now that we have GNs in the UK, Australia, USA, France and Spain, but anyone from somewhere else and if so, what's it like to live there?

West Midlands. I do love it here as plenty to do and live on outskirts of town in pretty large village.

Lancashire - Pennines to the East, Lancashire and N. Wales Coast to the West. Easy reach of Manchester, Liverpool, Chester and other cities. Born in Northern Ireland, lived in Cumbria and North Wales before here. I have Irish, Scottish, English, Swedish, Finnish DNA plus a tiny percent of North and West African. No idea where that comes from!!! We are all citizens of the world!

"Waving" to Rosecarmel! Not too many of us on here from the states. My parents were from the Midwest (Indiana & Minnesota). I live in California but was born in Minnesota. Three of four grandparents had Scottish surnames and the fourth's was Irish so, as we originally hail from GB, I'm "waving" across the Atlantic, as well. grin

Born & bred Londoner but now lived more than half my life in South Bucks (via a decade near Glasgow, left a bit of my heart there). We are halfway between London and Oxford, I can access the Underground within a 15-minute drive and be in Central London in an hour, or in lovely countryside or by the river within 20-25 minutes. Gingster, I envy you the Suffolk coast!

DanniRae Sat 25-Jan-20 09:15:49

South London - but would love to live by the sea!! smile

I was living in London, where I was born and raised, when I joined Gransnet at its start. Then I moved to Darlington, the original home of my husband and where many of his family still live, for three years. Then I emigrated to New Zealand to be with my daughter and her family.

I live at the Top of the South [Island]. I love the Kiwi way of life – its warmth and friendliness, its relaxed attitude, its generosity to those in trouble – and I love beyond words my six grandchildren who are are routine part of my life.

Exeter calling, well a few miles down the road actually! Originally from London, moved to Devon, then went abroad, back to London, now Devon again. There is another person on GN who moved to Teignmouth recently and was asking about meet ups.

Evie64 Fri 24-Jan-20 22:28:10

No-one else on here from Exeter? Am I blazing a trail for Devon? grin
