At 65 definitely past menopause but when do the hormones stop playing havoc. Had a good day with GC yesterday but today I can only describe as I have crashed, physically, mentally and emotionally, it was like someone flicked a switch. Husband really getting on my nerves as he will keep talking rather than just leave me alone but I do not know what makes me have episodes like this other than hormones. Am I alone with this?

Nope, not alone! I was told recently that I'm still very hormoney for my age!

I find this thread interesting. Do you think it is possible that after a day with the grandchildren and how much you give physically and emotionally, that you are just naturally needing a day of doing nothing.

I adore my grandchildren, but after a full on visit, I can be empty of energy and need a good few hours to recover, which includes my dear husband not badgering me with queries or conversation.

I agree Marilla, but it feels more than the usual day after feeling.

Squiffy, maybe I am too

I had a full hysterectomy aged 38 and was on HRT for years.
I came off it as GP thought I had been on it too long. Now that was years ago. I still suffer from hot flushes! So perhaps I am still ‘hormoney’. ?
