Good Morning Everyone,
its dark but dry outside and a clear sky I can see the moon, here in Brackley.
Today, we have a meeting where I am later , also shop etc and maybe venture further if the weather remains calm.
If the forthcoming storm arrives it may change my plans even at the weekend but its a ?

Good morning from Birmingham, where it is dry, with gathering clouds. I slept in this morning, unaccountably. The concert last night was very good. The solo violinist had stepped in at the last minute because the original soloist was ill, and he played a very tricky piece beautifully.
I MUST do some housework this morning! My little grandson is coming to stay the night, so I won’t have time tomorrow. I too love the morning when he wakes up, he’s delightful.
Scentia, dragonfly, grammaretto, Marydoll and anyone else I have forgotten- smile flowers

Happy valentines morning all from dry north Wales where instead of my chamberpot of tea I’ve indulged in a freshly made Buck’s Fizz and smoked salmon blinis for breakfast (DH can’t have alcohol whilst in charge of crutches, so I had to have his......what a chore wink!)

This Gilbert syndrome is something my friend has and I used to be envious as I thought she looked lightly tanned! Hope your results are good news Scentia.

A lovely day for all please - now off to tend to the (im)patient!

Nortsat46 Fri 14-Feb-20 08:57:44

Good morning Mick and the GM team.
So pleased to hear your good news Scentia and glad that your chemo is unaffected Dragonfly, but I can imagine it was quite alarming.

I have two presents from my partner, as yet unopened and I have two to give him, for Valentines. We will have a special supper and fizz tonight. But for now, I am waiting for my meds to ‘kick in’ and my partner is feeding the cats. Thus it’s not ‘romantic city’ in our house this morning.

Good thoughts to all, especially those facing challenges today. ?

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Beechnut Fri 14-Feb-20 08:50:49

Good Morning everyone from a light and dry Severnside.

Off to do my weekly shop later.

Earlier on in the week I washed my dressing gown and I’ve just found I’ve been wearing it since with a peg still attached to it ?

Hope you all enjoy Valentines Day whatever you do ?

Good morning from a sunny cold Essex. Storm Dennis waiting in the wings so had better stock up with provisions!! Lovely night out with DS. Went to a Turkish restaurant which I had never been to before and the food was delicious. Will have to wait til next Xmas before we do it again but lovely to spend some quality time with him. Have a good day everyone xxxx

Happy Valentine’s Day to you all! Had very trying day at work and glad it’s Friday once again trying to stay hopeful that the weather may be kind to us this weekend but forecast not food. Hubby left me card and chocolates and flowers this morning so that started my day well!

NfkDumpling Fri 14-Feb-20 08:08:47

Morning All

Very pink earlier on here in the north of Norfolk. That lovely flattering pink which I think all light bulbs should be. Gone now and clouded over. I thought there had been a frost Mommawolf but not very much of one up here. Love the thought of Irishmen being introduced to Shuck. Banshees and fiery eyed black dogs. Wonderful!

Did you see your brain scan Scentia? I did, and it was a very weird feeling! Good news that it’s nothing serious.

Off to art class this morning. I must improve eventually.

Mythbirtthedragon Fri 14-Feb-20 08:02:14

Good morning from east London, bright and clear at the moment and doesn’t feel as cool as the forecast suggests. It’s Southend Friday again today, via a trip to the charity shop; we’ve got about 8 bags to drop off. Got half an eye on some tennis highlights at the moment, my rationale being they only last 20 minutes so it’s not ‘wasting’ too much time. Hope you have a good day.

NannyJan53 Fri 14-Feb-20 07:54:20

Good Morning from a chilly Black Country. We have a lovely red sky here too!

Cold is still lingering, so will not be going on my Friday morning Health Walk. Probably some housework, then relax.

We have our M & S meal for tonight. I like a touch of Apricot Brandy in my Prosecco NanKate we call it Champagne Charlie smile

Wishing everyone a good day, with special thoughts to gilly Dragonfly Marydoll Lins and Scentia

Susan56 Fri 14-Feb-20 07:53:49

Good morning from the Shropshire borders.
Dropping DGD at pre school at lunchtime then into town for lunch and food shop.
Dragonfly glad the condition won’t affect your chemo and Scentia glad you had good news.
Thinking of all with illness and worries.

Marydoll Fri 14-Feb-20 07:48:04

Good morning all from a damp Glasgow, no rain, hail nor snow for the moment. It's also quite light for change.

I have to go and pick up a new prescription, (yes, again!). DH has offered to take me, but I fancy a couple of hours on my own. Apart from the hospital on Monday, I haven't been out for a week and I'm getting a bit stir crazy.

Scentia, I'm glad the news wasn't as bad as you feared, hoping you are a feeling bit more settled , Dragonfly, that is the last thing that you need just now! sad.
I was going to counsel you not to consult Dr Google, but the info is actually very helpful. People often only find out if they are having chemo. Hoping you are not suffering too much from this round of chemo.
Grammaretto, I share your apprehension, I hate going to the dentist and two of my conditions mean three monthly visits. ?

For everyone on here who has pain or worries, ?

GrannyGravy13 Fri 14-Feb-20 07:47:19

Goodmorning Mick and all x

Woke up far too early, just couldn't get back to sleep!! Bright here in SE Essex I could also see the moon Mick.

Off to the gym first thing, not sure what we are up to this evening, might stroll, down to our local Turkish Restaurant or might stay in.

dragonfly hope you return to normal colour soon.
scentia'you must be relieved.

Keep warm and safe folks, *Happy Valentines Day*flowers

Ginny42 Fri 14-Feb-20 07:47:14

Good morning Mick and everyone. An early call from DD when she wanted to chat, so that's a very nice start to my day. I'm back in bed and can see the moon. The trees are silhouetted against a mauve sky and there's frost on my neighbour's roof opposite. Usual walk in the woods at 9.00.

Went out for milk yesterday and thought I'd get a few extra provisions with Dennis on the way. Guess what I came back without!

Dragonfly I have Gilbert's syndrome. Occasionally my skin gets a yellow tinge and the whites of my eyes are yellowish in the mornings, but it's gone by lunchtime. Hope that's reassuring. Scentia you must be feeling so much better.

Thinking of everyone with ills and chills. Enjoy your day everyone.

Lins1066 Fri 14-Feb-20 07:45:11

Good Morning Mick and all.
There is a red sky here too NanKate tha calm before the storm maybe.
Sorry to hear tat you have spent two days in hospital dragonfly but good news that it won't affect your chemo.
Poor you Grammaretto, not the best way to spend Valentine's Day, I'm sure it won't be as bad as you think.

Have a good day everyone, thinking of all with illness and worry.

Mommawolf Fri 14-Feb-20 07:43:23

Goodmorning all the sky is a wonderful pink and grey and a heavy frost this. Morning. SCENTIA good news. Went to pub quiz night which became a very entertaining evening some lovely southern lrish tourists staying there. Came in all flustered as believed they had almost hit a very large black dog on the bridge.,had been searching for it. Cue tales of Black Shuck the Norfolk devil dog that stalks the lanes and coastline. Two hours later the bar was in full flow with supernatural tales of Irish Banshees and ghosts. An interesting evening. Have a good day everyone.

Sark Fri 14-Feb-20 07:34:26

Good Morning everyone
Bright morning in Oxfordshire.
Glad to hear it was pretty good news Scentia
Look after yourself Dragonfly
Love the sound of your games Urmstongran I hope to borrow the fairy wand this weekend!
Best wishes to all

cornergran Fri 14-Feb-20 07:31:12

Morning Mick, morning All from our bright, clear corner of Somerset. Chilly that’s for sure. Audiology with Mr C, a tour round looking at replacement doors and a food shop. Romantic aren’t we? One of ours has Gilbert’s Syndrome dragonfly so understand the yellow look. We’ve noticed it flares when he’s particularly tired and stressed. I’m pleased it won’t impact your chemo regime. Good to hear the neurologist appointment had a positive outcome scentia. Time to get going. Audiology here we come. Hope Friday is kind to everyone and warm wishes to all struggling with health or other worries.

Grammaretto Fri 14-Feb-20 07:28:45

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Beautiful pink sky for Valentine's day.
I'm having 2 teeth extracted this morning which I'm dreading. Not romantic at all.
I hope your condition can be treated Dragonfly
Have a happy love filled Friday everyone. ❤

kittylester Fri 14-Feb-20 07:24:36

Good morning all from a slightly overcast North Leicestershire.

Butcher's and Sainsbury's this morning and then, assuming the plumbers have gone, putting the kitchen back into order.

Dragonfly, I bet that was alarming!!

Nannytopsy Fri 14-Feb-20 07:11:22

Good morning Mick and all his followers!
It’s a very pink sunrise here in Suffolk. I am off to an auction this morning, then some shopping. DH is still fast asleep, despite the alarm!
That must have worried you Dragonfly and I hope all can be sorted.
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

NanKate Fri 14-Feb-20 07:11:21

Glad your news is hopeful Scentia ?

NanKate Fri 14-Feb-20 07:09:49

Morning Mick and All.

‘Red sky in the morning Shepherds’ warning’ well it is a fabulous shade of red, orange and pink in South Bucks.

May pop out today to see if I can get some peach juice to add to the Prosecco tonight as I think that makes a Bellini). We are having the prawn cocktail, followed by lamb on the bones (forget what you call those) and then half of the very indulgent choc pud, we will keep the other for the weekend. Slump in front of the fire. Back to more healthy eating this weekend.

Glad the syndrome is not going to affect the chemo Dragonfly.

Scentia Fri 14-Feb-20 07:09:09

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. Weather looks dry but chilly out there.
My visit to the neurologist yesterday was good news I suppose but still waiting for some results. She didn’t seem to think there was anything seriously wrong though.

Off work today so off to DD and we are taking DGS to ‘wriggly readers’ at the library.
I will be bringing DGS home to stay the night so his mummy and daddy can have a romantic night in for valentine’s. I love getting up with him in the morning, he is the happiest little boy.
Hope everyone has a good Friday and a peaceful weekend, hoping that Denis the Menace isn’t too naughty.

Brunette10 Fri 14-Feb-20 07:03:04

Good Morning from a damp Fife. Very dark out at the moment. We have our 2 x DGS's today and of course it's half term so have them both all day. It will be a busy one but hopefully enjoyable. Dragonfly - I do hope you get everything sorted out, look after yourself. For all those under the weather take good care. It's Friday once again!
