Got to thinking just now - can we be kind about posters❓

With all this about meanness nowadays on social media how about a little experiment.

I’ve posted.

Can the next person up look at the post above them (about me, to start with) and try to say something nice about the one before? We do ALL have good qualities I’m certain......

It might make for an uplifting thread?

If you can’t (or don’t ‘know’ the poster above to you) leave it and wait. Come back later when you recognise a poster’s style.

Off we go. I’m waiting (in trepidation ha!)

Hahaha! Just listened to The Archer's Omnibus and heard where you got this 'being kind' idea from smile

Callistemon I'd guess this is a very well-educated lady as her responses are always erudite and well-thought out. With a touch of justified pepper sometimes. flowers

Rufus posted today on another thread.

BBbevan your posts are always considered and kind.
Unfortunately I think yours on this thread got lost in the worriting about Rufus

I would certainly set foot in the Argy Barjy Bar again. I enjoyed the company of all the staff. The Friday night rave was always entertaining. It took an entire weekend to recover one's equilibrium. Whatever that is. Mind you, it would need an industrial type spring clean. I wore out many a pair of party shoes wiping them on the mat as I left the premises.

My son's nickname is Joesoap but as a child he spelled it Joesope! smile

As we are commenting on different posters, there really isn't anyone I don't like. You're all very different but interesting.

It's a nice little community

Callistemon Thu 20-Feb-20 22:43:30

Charleygirl5 Thu 20-Feb-20 21:47:29

Hi I have changed my name as I couldnt access GN I want to be back with my GN friends missed you

Charleygirl5 Thu 20-Feb-20 18:24:35

curvygran if that is your idea of fun good luck to you. Hygiene was not a word they recognised- the place was disgraceful. Heaven knows what lurgies you would catch there. I was so pleased to be able to return to the immaculate kitchen.

Jane10 Thu 20-Feb-20 18:22:16

And the smell!!!

Callistemon Thu 20-Feb-20 17:31:10

curvygran be careful what you wish for.

If I popped my head round the door of the Argy that lot would hand me a mop and bucket and tell me to get cleaning. shock
I never made any mess in the first place, it was all them. They never paid me either.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 20-Feb-20 17:26:25

curvygran950 have a look at the Alphabet Bar under games, it is a fun thread full of frolicking winegrin

curvygran950 Thu 20-Feb-20 17:01:59

What became of the Argy forum/ thread? It sounds like a lot of fun !
And fun is what so many of us need these days ....

soop Thu 20-Feb-20 16:50:26

Hear hear, Buffybee. We are lucky to have each other.

Buffybee Thu 20-Feb-20 16:46:35

I know what you mean soop, I spent a crazy few months in the Argy and my reputation is in tatters.
Back on thread, I recognise the majority of posters on this thread and appreciate them all, for their different points of view, kindness for people with problems and fun. ?

soop Thu 20-Feb-20 16:28:21

curvygran I do have a tendency to veer off course. That's the reason why the Argy Bargy crowd lured me away and I haven't been the same since. grin

Jane10 Thu 20-Feb-20 15:51:28

Charleygirl it is soooo difficult as I have no one to fan me or peel my grapes these days.

curvygran950 Thu 20-Feb-20 15:48:28

Goodness soop, didn’t mean it personally! Don’t retire - I’m just a bit lost on this thread , or should I say it’s lost me ....

lemongrove Thu 20-Feb-20 15:47:43

Is there a shortage of skeletons??

Charleygirl5 Thu 20-Feb-20 15:15:45

Jane it really must be difficult working with a skeleton staff because one just cannot get them these days.

soop Thu 20-Feb-20 15:04:00

Apologies, curvygran, I'll retire and allow you to get back on track, smile

curvygran950 Thu 20-Feb-20 15:02:05

Sorry everyone, the thread seems to have veered off course, can’t keep up so I’ll say good bye ?.
