Morning both of you early starters, Mick and Ginny42 from a dark and windy north Wales!

Now that you mention birds Ginny, I don’t recall hearing them the last few mornings and yet DH says they’ve been inspecting the nesting boxes either side of our bedroom window.

A busy day today taking my maiden aunt to a hospital appointment- she doesn’t drive and I’m the only niece who’s retired so a run out this afternoon. I’m not always around with gadding about to Spain but I like to return a kindness and she was so good to my brothers and I when our mam died when we were children.

Hope everyone has a pleasant day, especially those with worries and a warm welcome to any newbies - I’ll pop in later to catch up with everyone methinks x

Good early morning Mick, Ginny and all who follow. Here in the Scottish Borders it's blowing a hoolie.
Scaffolding is due to arrive this morning for roofers to work on our chimney. How that will work in this wind, I don't know.
First the dentist.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Mick and everyone. It's rained in the night here in Cheshire, but it's dry at the moment. Yesterday I had every kind of weather on my trip to Liverpool for lunch with ex colleagues. There was torrential rain on my drive to the city, then sunshine, then SNOW, and back to blue skies over the Mersey. It almost blew me away at one point too!

First job today is to chase up a parcel which the company said was left in my porch. I was at home at the stated time of delivery and I don't have a porch. Neither do my neighbours, so no idea where that is! Then I had to leave it to get into Liverpool.

Being a bit indulgent today and have booked a head massage followed by a hair appointment. First a walk in the woods. I think the birds have been very quiet in the mornings recently, but I hear a blackbird singing away. The woodpecker was making such a racket the other morning it made us laugh.

Greetings to all the newcomers I missed yesterday. Thinking of everyone who is struggling with illness or sadness. Fingers firmly crossed for the gillybobs. Surely it will be sorted this time. Hope Friday is kind to everyone.
