I had my first child at 21 And loved every minute, even though I remember coming home from hospital after a week and thinking oh my goodness I hope I can do this, lol

Married day after my 17th birthday and first son arrived 7 months later - second one at 20. Yes it was too young and we made lots of mistakes but wouldn't have changed it.

Married at 18 - first child at 21, second child at 24 [lost a baby in between them]. I loved being a young mum and loved every minute from babyhood and upwards.

Both planned and saved for, as we'd also bought our first house when I was 19, and husband was 21 and were financially ok.

I was very happy and confident each time. I'd been 11 and 17 when half sister and half brother were born and had helped mum with them so it all felt very normal.

I always say having my two was the best thing I ever did. Fine men now, 49 and 46.

Marydoll I had a similar experience. Started bleeding at 13 wks . I was put on complete home bed rest for a week then sent for a scan and was an emotional wreck when told there was still a healthy foetus. They said I had been expecting twins.

Just better add I was over 16 and was not a schoolgirl mum.

Greymar Fri 28-Feb-20 13:40:42

36 and 38. I wish it had been different. It's sort of odd now.

Married at 20, first baby at 23, second the day after my 25th birthday. Lucky to have survived that pregnancy - acute pre-eclampsia, not well understood then but had a young and well informed GP.

Mostly enjoyed motherhood though escaped into a degree course as soon as number two started school. Obviously liked being far too busy!

Looking at the ages on here I would say about myself that I was too young hahaha!

It is true I was young and everyone said I could never raise my child, but I proved them all wrong and she was 46 years old last week and even now when I hear her say "Mum" I know that every decision I took was the right one.

ninathenana Fri 28-Feb-20 13:36:37

I was a geriatric mother at 33 when I had my first, after years of trying.
37 when I had the second.

Married at 18 first child at 20 second at 22, loved every minute of it, no money of course, but good fun, daughter was a bit late having hers so I was 52 when the first Grandchildren came along.

Married at 20 first baby before I was 21 it shouldn’t of happened but it did so I got on with it. My second at 25 and third at 28. I’m now enjoying 5 GrtGC so far and glad that I have the health and energy to enjoy them.

tinaf1 Fri 28-Feb-20 13:27:19

First baby 24 and although helped out my mum looking after brother and sister who were 14 & 16 years younger than me didn’t really have a clue.

rafichagran Fri 28-Feb-20 13:23:13

First child at 18, still birth at 24, 3rd child at 25.
Was far too young, but 3 Grandchildren later I have no regrets.
