It's my 17th birthday today, Feb 29th. I let myself go after my husband did, didn't recognise the face in the mirror, especially the grey hair. Now I'm regularly mistaken for someone 15 years younger, and even my son's sister!!!
It's very simple. Have regular trips to the hairdresser to keep it tidy and the same colour. Have your lashes tinted, and your brows every month, and remember to use a moisturiser, nothing expensive or fancy there.
Then smile so keep your teeth in order too. Wear clothes that suit you, if in doubt buy a book and work out which colour season you are, or get a book from the library by Colour me beautiful. I don't even wear makeup as a rule! Make sure what you are wearing is clean and tidy, and everything goes together. After surgery I have a large belly, so I wear dark trousers every day and pretty tops with three or four of your best colours. Then everything goes with everything else. Give it a go and say thanks for the compliments!
