...but not in government matters he’s sired an offspring

lemongrove Sun 01-Mar-20 19:01:10

I have pondered a blue or pink rinse on my blonde hair now and then ?common sense has prevailed so far.
Technically he did ‘get another woman pregnant’ but the woman is living with him, is engaged to him and no doubt had some say in whether she became pregnant or not.
For all we know, her Mother is delighted by the news, the impending marriage and baby and is also pleased her daughter will be the wife of the PM.Who can confidently say otherwise?

Greymar Sun 01-Mar-20 18:59:33

I just don't care. Obviously I don't wish the woman or the child any harm. The hype is something else. Why is it joyous. They are not bloody royalty. Should we have bells ringing and flags waving. Think of others from all parties, who have carried on a civilised and dignified family life.

GagaJo Sun 01-Mar-20 18:45:12

Oooo Gill, you'll be for it. 1) You disparage their boy. 2) . You've called them (us) the blue rinse brigade.

I love a barney.

GillT57 Sun 01-Mar-20 18:43:20

I wish Carrie well, and hope the pregnancy and birth go well. It is fairly obvious to those who will see that this news was released to save PPatel's neck, and some of you on here really need to give yourselves a good talking to! Would any of us really like our daughters to be involved with a sleazebag like him? Pregnant with his child? I note that the blue rinse brigade who are quick to criticise anyone needing to use a food bank ( 'well, they shouldn't keep in having children') are silent when this serial philanderer gets yet another woman pregnant. As for suggesting that it is 'good news' or that it is 'joyous' well, I do not agree.

It's all here:
When does Spring Start?
I have always said 20th or 21st March was the first day of Spring, and the Astronomical and Astrological new year, but I must admit the meteorological seasons are very nice and neat!

maddyone Sun 01-Mar-20 18:06:50

Trisher, now that’s interesting because I always thought the first day of Spring is the 21st March, first day of Summer 21st June etc. But some people do say the 1st March is beginning of Spring, it’s often put out by media too. The Summer Solstice is 21st June, Winter Solstice 21st December, and that’s where the season dates come from, always the 21st.
Please correct if I’m wrong, but it’s what I learnt at school yonks ago.
Sorry, off thread topic.

lemongrove Sun 01-Mar-20 18:05:05

I didn’t buy it..it came free, boom boom! Actually none of us knows what happened in the wine spilling incident, you can choose scenarios. It was reported one way and am thinking they had both been at the wine bottles that day.
I don’t care either way. Cheers wine

NotTooOld Sun 01-Mar-20 18:02:41

By the meteorological calendar today is the first day of Spring, trisher, so I'm going by that. The sooner we are out of winter the better so far as I am concerned.

GagaJo Sun 01-Mar-20 17:58:22

Ooooo Chestnut, don't dare me!

Lemongrove, you BOUGHT that lie? That isn't what the neighbours heard, but I guess his PR team leapt into place very successfully.

Other than that, LG, I agree. He should get on and do the job. Not try to distract us with yet another women up the duff. Get into his office and do some actual WORK.

trisher Sun 01-Mar-20 17:56:13

NoTooOld even that's wrong! Today is not the first day of spring!!!

trisher Sun 01-Mar-20 17:54:15

Even trisher is now talking about ‘shagging’ ! What do you mean even. Thought I had a reputation for using bad language!
Annie how many times can you promise to be faithful before it stops meaning anything?
Chestnut there were 4 children in his previous marriage, didn't stop him shagging around.

NotTooOld Sun 01-Mar-20 17:53:39

Oh, come on, ladies (and gents)! It's a new life coming into the world. Let's wish them all the best. Today is the first day of Spring, so let's see this and mini-Boris as a sign of better times to come. Congratulations Carrie and Boris!

Chestnut Sun 01-Mar-20 17:46:42

GagaJo - ? Can't you find any more Boris insults to bring up, or are you saving them for the next post?

lemongrove Sun 01-Mar-20 17:45:56

Wasn’t it her whacking him ? The spilling red wine incident.
She doesn’t have to marry him or have a baby, so she obviously wants to, as does he.
He is 55, the PM and probably feels he should be settled.
Who knows if it will last, ( or is bothered) all I care about is that his government tries hard to honour manifesto promises,
Spends money on the North, completes Brexit and mends all the potholes!

maddyone Sun 01-Mar-20 17:44:46

It’s the horrible comments about the unborn baby that I mostly object to. Two in particular were vile. I’m surprised that such venom should come from grandmothers.
Everyone is allowed their own opinion of BJ, as they are all politicians. Posters are absolutely entitled to criticise BJ’s behaviour during the last two weeks, or indeed during any other period of his political life, but it’s unacceptable to call an unborn baby a child of the devil. I would have thought we would all agree on that.

GagaJo Sun 01-Mar-20 17:34:56

I wouldn't worry about CS seeing this. She lives with BJ don't forget. She'll have been exposed to,a lot worse than 'shagging' given his predilection for vile racist remarks in public. I can't begin to imagine what he's capable of in private, other than the time he was reported to have whacked her.

Anniebach Sun 01-Mar-20 17:22:48

Why is divorce and remarriage less honourable trisher ?

sarahellenwhitney Sun 01-Mar-20 17:21:38

The world is over populated which no one can deny. Not unusual that Carrie would want a child of her own. So what is the problem ? You don't like the guy.?He already has six children supported by himself not the state soooo?

Chestnut Sun 01-Mar-20 17:18:52

lemongrove - Boris certainly brings out the worst in posters! If he were in a room with everyone who has posted here I wonder if they would tear his clothes off, or tear him to shreds! ?

lemongrove Sun 01-Mar-20 17:15:03

Oh my! This thread certainly brings out the worst in some posters, it’s as if they have to be coarse ( a terrible magic spell?!)?
Even trisher is now talking about ‘shagging’ !
As for any comments about either Carrie or the future baby,
I hope she never gets to read this thread, it will certainly be an eye opener as to what oldies are like (older but not wiser.)

paddyanne Sun 01-Mar-20 17:14:23

I'll put my hand up too,but I have made it clear I think his time should have been spent on clearing up the mess the country is in not on his love life .I dont understand serial monogamy though what do people like Boris think will be different with each marriage ,if the main thing in common with the broken relationships is HIM why will the next one be any different,
I admit to being what my daughter calls old school on this ,it made me angry that her first husband played away ,knowing he had small children at home and a wife who loved him.It annoyed me a lot that those children have been introduced to several would be stepmothers only to have them disappear overnight when the next one appears .IF you have children THEY should take priority over your "urges" anything else is just pure selfishness .Boris is not what I would have liked for my daughter however much money or power he has,he has no morals .Not just in this case but in general with his disgusting policies

Chestnut Sun 01-Mar-20 16:50:33

trisher I happen to believe serial marriages are less honourable than just living together. Anyone can change their mind and move on to a new relationship but making vows each time is either dishonest or stupid.
You are forgetting that a child is part of this relationship. In my book it is right and proper, and respectful to the child to marry. One can only go into a relationship with good intentions and promises, whether you can keep these promises for ever is another matter. I definitely think there are people who have the 'faithful' gene and will happily stay with one person, and people who have the 'roaming' gene who cannot stay in a relationship, although they often do eventually.

Greymar Sun 01-Mar-20 16:47:51

I don't think anybody is 'howling'

GagaJo Sun 01-Mar-20 16:37:12

Exactly. Especially if she had left 5 other children behind her that she had virtually no contact with.

Barmeyoldbat Sun 01-Mar-20 16:33:34

I wonder what the reaction would have been had it been a female mp labour leader having a baby in the same circumstances? I can just imagine the uproar and comments but its ok for good old Boris his fan club will always support him.
