Greymare better to be silly ? than bitter and nasty.

Manmar2 Sun 01-Mar-20 14:06:30

Well said Maddyone. An excellent post.

Greymar Sun 01-Mar-20 14:05:22

Where are these bitter and shocking posts?

GrannyGravy13 Sun 01-Mar-20 14:04:32

Kandinsky Unfortunately I am rarely shocked by anything posted on GN nowadays.

Kandinsky Sun 01-Mar-20 13:58:52

So many bitter and nasty people on here.
I’m actually quite shocked.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 01-Mar-20 13:57:13

Do not report Dibbles post, leave it for all to see along with the other vitriolic and nasty posts.

WadesNan Sun 01-Mar-20 13:51:31

I'm amazed how many GNs know everything about the relationship of people they have never met, they can even predict how long that relationship will last (do they know next weeks winning lottery numbers too). Still I suppose it makes a change from attacking Harry and Meghan.

Kandinsky Sun 01-Mar-20 13:44:30

What an awful post * Dibble*

I hope enough people report it.

Greymar Sun 01-Mar-20 13:34:36

Firecracker, what a silly comment.

maddyone Sun 01-Mar-20 13:32:23

Dibble,
That’s a nasty post about an unborn baby. Unbelievable!

Dibble Sun 01-Mar-20 13:30:19

If it’s a boy it should be called DAMIAN...........

Buttonjugs Sun 01-Mar-20 13:29:21

@shelmiss the reason we can’t understand how women are attracted to Boris has very little to do with his appearance! It’s because he is an arrogant uncaring man who pretends to be a bungling idiot. He is the very epitome of a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I wonder if he will suddenly care about how climate change will affect his new baby. I somehow doubt it. He only cares about himself and I don’t doubt he would throw the futures of all his children under a bus for the right deal.

Theoddbird Sun 01-Mar-20 13:27:24

I wish them luck. She hasn't had a child and want a to be a mother...nothing wrong with that.

Firecracker123 Sun 01-Mar-20 13:20:32

Well said Maddyone ?

GrannyGravy13 Sun 01-Mar-20 13:19:24

Good post maddyone

Firecracker123 Sun 01-Mar-20 13:18:39

If it was Corbyn and Rebecca Long Bailey having a baby the lefties Remainers would think it was wonderful lol.

How many of us are divorced? How many on their second or third marriage? How many husbands have affairs? How many wives have affairs? How many of us have children by different men? How many of us have had abortions?
As a matter of fact I have only ever had one husband and all my children are his. But I’m very much aware that many, many people get divorced or have affairs and have children with different partners. I’m sorry but BJ is doing nothing out of the ordinary. He’s having a baby with his partner who he’s engaged to. So what!
Someone up thread mentioned his other children. The four he had with his ex wife are all grown up, and therefore getting on with their own lives. The one born as a result of an affair lives with her mother. I don’t know anything about somebody and an abortion, and it’s none of my, or your business. There are no other children that anyone actually knows about. It’s all tittle tattle, gossip, and hearsay. I don’t care less what it says on some blog of God knows which year about family values, the only thing I would say is people move with the the times. Nowadays it is entirely unremarkable to live together, and have children together without being married, and equally unremarkable to be divorced.
When every last one of us can say we have only been married to one partner, only had children by one partner, never been divorced, and never had an abortion or an affair, then criticism can justified. Until that is the case, I suggest that we discuss something of more relevance.

No trisher I don’t! The reason being that there has never been an age of morality for any political party, despite what any of them may have said/ printed in the past.
Only a total innocent would even begin to believe otherwise.

trisher Sun 01-Mar-20 12:42:12

lemon do you not regret the passing of the age of morality when the Conservatives billed them selves as the famiy party?
From a Blog on Conservative home
Politicians clearly understand the importance of personal commitment in their own lives. The vast majority are married. This is a good decision because, across all backgrounds, couples who marry are generally much more likely to stay together.
Yet few ministers are willing to stick their head above the parapet and say this. The policy signals they send out are that marriage doesn’t matter.
The tragedy is that those with fewest financial resources are listening. Nine of ten parents in the top income quintile with young children are married. In the lowest quintile, just a quarter are married. Pile relational ambiguity on top of low income and a system that bribes you to live apart, and you have the perfect recipe for family instability.
It used to be thought that unmarried cohabitation would look increasingly like marriage as it became more widespread. In fact the gap is widening. Today’s marriages are more stable than any since the 1960s. Divorce rates have plummeted because those who choose to marry really embrace their commitment to one another. And yet the UK continues to languish near the top of the family breakdown table because unmarried breakdown rates are typically three times higher.
There’s an important lesson here about commitment and stability. Few businesses succeed without making a clearly agreed plan that everyone understands. This is why today’s marriages are doing so well and today’s cohabitees so badly.
Somebody really should have told Boris!

lemongrove Sun 01-Mar-20 12:32:11

I rest my case m’lud.

lemongrove Sun 01-Mar-20 12:31:54

grin

whywhywhy Sun 01-Mar-20 12:29:53

It's the children that I feel sorry for as they didn't ask to be born or to have him as a Dad.

lemongrove Sun 01-Mar-20 12:29:20

Chestnut answer to ‘do you have to be so nasty’ question to Boris haters on here is......yes they do because they are still furious that he ( the Conservatives too!) won the GE with such a large majority in Parliament.? That’s all it is....so any excuse to have a go either at him/Carrie/anyone who voted Conservative on GN/ or the general public for voting that way.
Let them have their little bit of fun.... even the strange /coarse/ridiculous/overtly political point scoring/ riding high horses etc etc.

Beanie654321 Sun 01-Mar-20 12:28:59

BlueBell why are we paying him for doing nothing? He already has children that he does nothing for so why are we surprised he is adding to his brood and how long will this last. With all the floods, etc. why is he not out and about offering assistance and seeing the suffering. Is it because it's only the peasants that it is having the biggest impact on. He should get off his backside and be active in supporting those who pay him.

trisher Sun 01-Mar-20 12:28:58

Whatever the moralities of his behaviour I do find it unacceptable that he has routinely become involved with women he met in the course of his work and who might have benefitted financially from his connection. It indicates that he is completely unable to separate his professional and his personal life. Carrie- working for the Tories. Helen Macintyre (mother of his daughter) worked as an unpaid advisor during the Olympics, Jennifer Arcuri given public money.
