You would have been proud of me and I'll tell you why. As I mentioned previously, I've had toothache since the weekend. Today I was able to get an appointment with my dentist who is rather under-occupied at the moment. He diagnosed that a nerve had died, introducing an infection and I'd need a root canal job. As it happened, he had nothing better to do this morning, so, with the aid of some spectacular technology, he went ahead with the 'operation'. Three anaesthetic injections numbed me perfectly and all I had to do was lie there with my mouth wide open for an hour and a half. Now my face is beginning to come to life again and I can, perhaps, have a

I'm impressed with all the things some of you are doing in your captivity. I am tempted to do some baking, but then I would have to eat it. Oh dear!
On the radio, I heard a florist saying that there would be a dearth of flowers for mothers' day. Our offspring will have to do some hard thinking.
