Morning ladies.

Hope you're feeling better this morning soop. I woke up at 2.00am Purplepixie and the last time I looked at my clock it was 3.30amshock. So frustrating. If it happens tonight I'll follow your lead and have a hot whisky toddy.

Everyone needs good neighbours Charleygirl, you're very kind to share your loo rolls with yourssmile.

Hope your GC are in the mend MawB and Susan; worrying times for youflowers.

Looking forward to some more of your funnies Grannmarie

Hi all. I thought I would pop into the warm kitchen with some chocolate chip cookies that I made yesterday. Just cannot get to sleep so I am having a hot whisky toddy right now. Night night all and I’ll pop back tomorrow and wash up. X

Nightie Night Kitcheners wishing you all a peaceful and restful one.

Tomorrow is another day as the saying goes - onwards and upwards x

I managed to order free range eggs online with Morrisons and loo rolls but I will split my pack of 18 with friends 2 doors down.

One store, which starts with C and ends with R is charging 30p per egg whereas I bought mine for 90p for 6. Daylight robbery.

callgirl1 Wed 25-Mar-20 22:04:24

MawB, I hope your grandson is better soon, and that the rest of the family stay virus free.
Soop, hopefully you`ll be feeling better by the time you read this, if not, take a peek at the Positive Post thread.
Aw, Cupcake is gorgeous, lovely eyes.
Ann, not nice, but Molly was only doing what cats are wont to do, alas.
My daughter did some shopping for me tonight, got everything but eggs and chicken casserole, she even got toilet rolls!

Charleygirl5 Wed 25-Mar-20 21:23:29

Susan that beautiful baby girl- she is obviously in charge.

8Cherry* surely I only did what somebody else would do given a chance?

soop you are definitely going down the OMG not again route. I do hope you feel better tomorrow and if not can get access to antibiotics from your lovely GP.

Morrisons I am finding is failing to understand I am shopping for three separate households. If I had half an idea when I would get another slot life would be simpler.

Cherry sorry to hear your neighbours are not particularly helpful- 99% would not understand your condition.

Any of these lovely cats would be welcome here but please, not if they want a hot, fresh dinner!

Too much today to take in all at once. When I looked this morning there was hardly anything! What a busy kitchen we do have.
ann, I'm disappointed that Molly has disgraced herself. It reminds me of the time a neighbour's cat, chasing a butterfly, wasn't looking where he was going and took a flying leap into their pond! I take it you don't have a pond?
That's a superb cat, Grandmafrench I had a black cat that used to lie on a small stool but forgot where he was and when he rolled over to wave his paws at me, he rolled off the stool, looking embarrassed as only cats can.
DiL has got over her dose of the virus and we are waiting to see if DS and the two GSs get it. Youngest GS was complaining that he isn't getting his Cokes, but DS has bought him a bass guitar to keep him occupied during his captivity.
My good neighbours got my shopping for me today so I have plenty to be going on with. On Monday I thought I would make an apple crumble but misjudged the quantities, including porridge oats and ended up with something like apple porridge - not disgusting but clearly far from a crumble. Yesterday's veggie crumble was, on the other hand, very successful, so must do it again. Risotto tonight - not bad but forgot the garlic.blush
DS1, who, at one point looked like getting stuck in Barbados, tells me he has reservations on a flight out on Friday. Meanwhile, he enjoys rum punch on idyllic beaches.

Oh soop I do hope it isn’t another UTI. Take care.
cherryC ooh thank you. Yummy ?

Nannytopsy Wed 25-Mar-20 18:26:54

Hello the kitchen! We have been busy building a series of terraces in the back garden with railway sleepers. It is going well but we are working slowly. We have several months to do it!
Maw I hope the family are all well. If it is of any comfort, DiL and littlest had it but 3 other children and DS didn’t get it.

Hope the pill does the trick Soop and you feel better soon???
Have just had to diagnose my 6 month old grandson by video call (not for Coronavirus)as no Drs or nurse appointments and no Health visitor.DD has spoken to the nurse who has prescribed going on my diagnosis.I have a pharmacy background,I am not a dr?so stressed, but DD thinks my input would be better than hers.Hoping and praying he is ok.

Carillion01 Wed 25-Mar-20 17:30:49

Dear soop xxx????

CherryCezzy Wed 25-Mar-20 17:27:38

Take care soop, hope the pill works and you'll be back in good fettle tomorrow. Put your feet up, settle down comfy with your favourite brew or tipple x

CherryCezzy Wed 25-Mar-20 17:23:06

Oops, a bit of a brain freeze moment! My last three messages were to Grannmarie, Maw and Charleygirl. [blush[

cornergran Wed 25-Mar-20 17:02:30

Worrying times maw, hoping for a swift recovery. Oh blimey, soop, you must be thinking ‘not again’, or words to that effect.

Loving all the photos of animals, animate or not.

Like fennel I can’t keep up. so please accept my good wishes for all, please stay safe and well.

CherryCezzy Wed 25-Mar-20 17:01:45

So, finally received the general gov' message on the phone. Haven't had a 'personal' message yet but know I'm meant to be isolating. I don't know how that is going to work for me & my WP as I can't be left alone if he has to leave the house hmm. Not a lot of community support here either, at least not yet. I'm not my usual glass 1/2 full today sad. Guess I'll bounce back though.

Doodle I've been thinking of you only having rice cakes so I am leaving some rice crispy cakes in the kitchen today, you get first pick smile

soop well done for cycling 2 & 1/2 miles. I'd be lucky to do 3 yards! Still no news on my friend ☹️. None of the people who might know seems to know. She's always been such an independent person and mixes with very few neighbours. I can't even contact her church, as I'm sure they'd know. I don't have her daughter's number so the only thing I've been able to do is write a note and my WP put it through her letter box. I think she must be either with her daughter or in hospital, either way I'm sure her daughter will likely have to pop in her house at some point and then I'm sure she'll put my mind at rest.

Nana&Grampy can you please please please knit me one of your beautiful pets, I promise to be ever so good and I promise to give him/her lots of love & attention. I can't have a ? or ? of my own sad. I send you this case of wine as a bribe in advance.

Loving all the cartoons you are bringing to all the Kitcheners, humour is just what we all need a little bit of atm ? flowers

Sending well wishes to your DGS and hope all the family take care and stay safe & well ❤️ flowers

What you did for your neighbours was truly special and considerate of you. It was a very kind act ❤️

Take care you lovely Kitcheners flowers all round.

Fennel Wed 25-Mar-20 16:57:48

soop - hoping and praying that you'll be well tomorrow.
I know what these UTIs are like but TG have been better since using Vagifem. Maybe yours are for a different reason. ? prolapse.
I can't keep up with this thread but wish everyone well during these unprecedented and worrying times.

dragonfly46 Wed 25-Mar-20 16:56:25

Sorry to hear you are not well soop - too much cycling maybe. Please look after yourself ?

Smileless2012 Wed 25-Mar-20 16:52:36

Sorry you're feeling a bit iffy soop. Hope the pill starts to take effect. Now put your feet up and relaxflowers.

Smileless2012 Wed 25-Mar-20 16:50:51

Thanks GrannmariesmileI'm really looking forward to some home made soup. I had no idea our house so many exotic places within for us to visitgrinand loved the 'Shawshank' contribution.

What a shame annsixty Dylan's rather good at that but he'll also catch flies which I don't have an issue with as long as he doesn't eat them.

Cupcake looks very regal Susan, they just know they're special don't they.

soop Wed 25-Mar-20 16:48:58

I had every intention of riding my exercise bike and then coming into our kitchen for much anticipated catch-up chat.

However, I'm feeling "iffy". I am certain that it is another wretched UTI that is causing me to feel nauseous and pained across my pelvis. Have taken a pill. Will sit down and allow the thing to pass, or not.

I am thinking of you all. You are the best bunch of Granspals anyone could wish to meet.

Please take care. I intend coming in tomorrow morning. A group (hug) is called for. smile moon

soop Wed 25-Mar-20 16:41:18

Welcome to the pampered pets gallery, Cupcake you are a very regal pussy cat. grin

ann Molly thought that she knew better. Be extra kind to her.

annsixty Wed 25-Mar-20 16:26:46

Molly is in total disgrace today.
She caught and ate the first pretty coloured butterfly I had seen in the garden this year.
I told her off very soundly, she continued to wash herself while sitting inthe sun.

Susan56 Wed 25-Mar-20 16:15:26

Good afternoon the kitchen??
Maw,hope your DGS recovers quickly.x
Like many of you we have overdone it in the garden so relaxing now with a good book.
Loving the upbeat threads, the photos and cartoons.
Have attached a picture of our daughters cat to join the gallery,Cupcake, aka Cupster,Cuppy,Madame Cuppington? She is a ruler/princess as it seems all cats are!
