Yes I dye my hair dark brown which is my natural colour, I have some grey at 65 but not a lot, just at the temples etc and the odd patch which is a bit weird so I prefer it to look one colour rather than patchy.

No, I had all the colour stripped out on a whim the day after I retired at 66. It was yellow for a time, and had to be toned down with blue shampoo, but now it is silver and I really like it. People have complimented me on it. I have it quite short, and it is so easy to look after. Plus, I don’t have to spend ages reading “Hello” while probably noxious chemicals take effect.

Still colouring. My sister pulled out my first grey at 16! I started colouring at 23 and will stop when I hit 60 (not too many years off). I'm hoping it will be a lovely silver, but not sure. My Mum was more of a steel grey.

Both my sisters colour their hair, and my brother is bald, so i have no guide to what my hair should naturally look!

My friend is a hairdresser and does my hair off-hours for cost only, so it gives us a chance to visit. She has said she wants me to keep colouring since it will keep me younger looking, but I think at 60 it will be time to go natural. I keep admiring women with lovely silver hair, so I am working my way towards it.

I have light auburn and light blonde highlights. They look very natural and attractive for a little while but the auburn seems to disappear fairly quickly. The hairdresser suggested I have them done every couple of months or so but I can't justify spending £100+ so frequently. I am tempted to colour my hair myself as I did when I was younger, but a block colour can look quite flat and unflattering and then there is the roots issue so I suppose I'll stick with highlighting.

I have mine dyed at the hairdressers. Mid/light brown. A shade or so lighter than my original colour. It doesn't take too long to do because I only have my roots done. I occasionally have lighter streaks put in to break it up. Not that often because they last quite a long time. When the roots come through I touch them up with those quick spray root colour things. Great if I'm going out and haven't time for a quick dash to the hairdressers.

I stopped using a permanent colour and changed to semi permanent while the colour grew out. Once that had happened (it took about a year) I washed out the semi permanent colour to reveal my white hair, which I love.

My lovely friend with longish hair has just had hers dyed sunshine yellow.
It's really bright and looks fabulous on her. She looks 20 years younger!!

I still love to have my hair coloured, I have a great hairdresser and I have a gorgeous copper streak right through the front at the moment, I have never had just complete block colour, that is ageing in my opinion?

I did have dark brown hair with chestnut glints. I dye it myself with semi permanent, a dark blonde, which looks light brown on me.

I think grey hair would make me look older and washed out. I know I'm fooling no one. It just makes me feel better so I still do it. Just the roots, about every 4 weeks, takes 20 mins..

Don't know how grey I really am I don't give my hair the chance for the grey to surface. I have dyed my hair for years I start by having hi lights done springtime at the hair dressers then its a diy job for the rest of the time. Come winter its needs an all over darker shade to even it out then its back to the hi lights.Keep thinking I am going to let the grey come through but I haven't got the patient for an all over grey . I guess its going to be a bottle job until the end.

No. I’m very fortunate at the age of 65 to have just a smattering of grey in my auburn-y hair.

My MiL had bright red hair when young and never went grey. Instead, she faded to a pale fawn and still had lovely hair when she died at 93.

Started going grey at 30. Had my hair dyed at hairdressers for 20yrs then it needed doing every 3wks it was expensive. I’ve been naturally grey for over 25yrs with no regrets

Yes. I use a semi permanent. Not ready fod grey yet (age 68)

I used to do it myself when it was just blonde but i.like my time in the hairdressers. I've been going to her for 15 years and we have a great time putting the world to rights.

I dyed my hair a darkish brown for years but it's become harder to keep up lately (my preferred dye, has been discontinued). Daughter suggested I have a bright, fake colour combined with a very short cut. Good move! I'm short and red now. Yes, I'm too old. No, I don't care.

Used to have medium brown hair naturally, coloured blondeish about fifteen years ago. But last year decided it looked a bit brassy, wanted it more ash blonde, then thought what the hell, might as well just go grey. It’s shoulder length, growing out, do I look a bit witchy! Probably. Don’t think it will be an attractive grey or white, just a steely colour, but ...whatever!

I also love my undied hair. I stopped colouring several years ago and it is fantastic to no longer sit for hours at the hairdressers. I’m lucky in that I have gone white, which I like. I try to keep it a wee bit choppy and funky.

No more, I’m free of that ritual and I love my grey hair it was a relief to stop.

I started to go grey at 25, so dyed my hair black (it was black originally), and now at 60, I'm sick of doing it, so about 3 weeks ago, I put some stuff on (3 packets of it) to strip all the dye out. My hair went bright orange, but after a few attempts at getting it decent, it's now a dark blonde. I had it cut to collar-length, too, from almost shoulder length.

I'm 66 and went 'accidentally' blonde about twenty years ago when a reddish tint on my hair went blonde in the sun. I've been blonde ever since and I find it a really quick and easy thing to keep up with (it's aDIY job).

Now and again I ask The Wonderful Man if he thinks I should change the style or allow myself to become grey (I ask him because he has to look at it, I don't ), but he really likes my hair the way it is.
