- Overcome my fear of water, despite braving swimming lessons (without success)

This reminds me very much of the Mark Twain quote “Twenty years from now you’ll regret the things you didn’t do more than the things you did...”.

Edith Piaf summed it up for me - “Moi? Je ne regrette rien!”

I have lived a full life. I have loved and been loved, I live in a cosy cottage with my family, I can afford to keep it warm, I have hot running water, and enough money to buy enough to eat, and drink, and clothe myself. I have a garden where I can see the flowers grow, watch birds flying in the sky, feel the sun and wind on my face, I'm alive.
Stop thinking about what you haven't done, and be grateful for what you have!

Been the slightest bit interested in cooking (if it takes longer to prepare than it takes to eat, it's a waste of time).
Been able to walk up step ladders, or walk on the rafters in a loft with shoes on.

If other people think I'm boring I don't mind - they're not my sort of people.

I’ve learnt to play a musical instrument to a reasonable standard, sung in public, visited a nudist Beach for the afternoon, had a friend “with benefits”.
