Good morning from Birmingham. It was gloriously sunny half an hour ago, but now the grey clouds are gathering....
I’m meeting a friend at a local house and garden after lunch for a walk and a chat, and some of the delicious cake they sell. I’m hoping there will be a plant sale too so I can brighten up my balcony.
Good wishes to all those with problems, and I hope everyone has a good day. Micheal, enjoy your evening.

Good Morning Thursday
(53 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
Its light and a clear sky over Brackley this morning.
Today will be a long day for me, this morning I will make a quick visit to Bicester on the bus.
When I return a quick snack and maybe a small nap.
Then going by coach to see Mary Poppins in London for this evenings performance.
Usually back around midnight to 1am but more on it tomorrow.
Mick
Good Morning from a cold Fife, have had a smattering of snow. Out this morning to meet friend for coffee/catch up. Along to DD's this afternoon to look after DGS2 for a couple of hours. Whatever your plans I hope today is good for everyone.
Good morning the sun is trying to come out now after very heavy hail thunder and lightning, there was a poor women cycling past my house when it was at it heaviest, I do hope she found some shelter.
Not much on today no school run and I did a shop yesterday, shelves not as empty as last week but I could not get digestive biscuits or hairspray shelfs were empty strange.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Lovely bright day but blowing a gale here on the Suffolk coast. Such a beautiful day yesterday - we found a little sheltered spot and had our breakfast in the garden. The first of the year. Too chilly today for that I fear. I too went to see Military Wives yesterday PANTGLAS. Wasn’t it lovely ! I cried too. Quite a few in the cinema - all the best seats full and a third of the rest taken. I was surprised. DH having his ears syringed today after a lot of searching for someone to do it. Privately you can pay up to £50 per ear! ?? I’m hoping he will be able to hear me now but I really think he needs hearing aids. He’s fighting against it. ?
Good morning all from a bright mountsorrel.
Babysitting again this morning, then school run this afternoon and trip to the pony.
Heard there was a parent at school yesterday who gad just returned from a trip to Thailand. People are r do selfish why put all those childten at risk. Apparently they ended up with police at the school.
Kind wishes to all who need it. Have a good day to all
I’ve cancelled our group get together for this afternoon. As Himself said - why take the chance?
I feel better now I’ve rung the two couples concerned as I’m a bit of a ditherer!
?
Good mornng from another dry bright Essex. Had first babysitting with 3 DGC yesterday(although only an hour) as DGS1 parents evening at school). 2 week old baby slept through it all and didn't notice mum and dad not there!! School volunteering day today although not sure how much longer the schools will stay open so better get all my chatting done today!! ?
Have a good day everyone and stay safe xxx
Don’t blame you. It’s not worth the worry. ?
Good morning from
Kent.
DH going to help a friend with DIY this morning and DS at day centre so the house to myself. I will be indulgent and watch HUTH.
Good morning from a bright and sunny North East Coast.
Well DH and I were supposed to be travelling up to Glasgow today for the Country 2 Country Music festival that starts tomorrow. Like just about everything else we plan, we have had to cancel so we are both feeling very down and have both agreed it will be a very long time before we book anything at all again.
Went to DD’s straight from work last night to dismantle a wardrobe and bed that I had put in Freecycle. We must be mad but ended up getting DS to drop the bed off locally in his van as I felt so sorry for the young couple who asked for it and they had no transport. Their 13 year old son has been sleeping on a mattress on the floor for over a year. They were so thrilled I could’ve cried.
Going to decorate Evie’s big girls room(well she is nearly 2) this weekend and will put some fresh wallpaper on the back wall. Then I’m going to Ikea and picking up one of those shelf units where you can slot the toy boxes in. She is really good at playing now and can spend ages with her little dollies and animal figures. I want to make her room nice for her, my special little girl. It might help take my mind off the “non weekend away” .
Off to “that place” in about half an hour on my 4th worst /4th best day if the week. Not sure how on earth that works? I think I’ve created an 8 day week
To all those having the best of times long may they continue and to those feeling sad, poorly or just not up to scratch I do hope we see some
very soon.
Have a good Thursday all and do enjoy Mary Poppins Mick
Love Gillybob xx
Good morning from a cold but sunny Leicestershire.
Third visit of the week to the hospital - we do lead exciting lives. It is for my DH’s bloodletting - at least they don’t use leeches!
We have coffee with friends every Thursday but I have invited them here instead of meeting in a crowded coffee bar!
Thinking of those who are worried or poorly.
Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining in South Yorkshire but it is cool and windy. Food shopping today - hope there is some! I will bake this afternoon if we don’t go out again. Have a good day, folks.
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Gillybob you're such a good kindhearted soul that I can't understand why awful things happen to you.
I've never understood that those who do good in this world seem to get the dirty end of the stick every time.
Goodmorning Mick and all x
Bright sunny and breezy here in S E Essex. No plans for today, I am trying to keep away from people at the moment also Urmstongran, this whole virus thing seems to be escalating and due to my asthma I am being very cautious.
Keep safe folks x
Good morning from a windy, grey but dry Market Harborugh.
Sending love and hugs to all who are suffering today.

Crossed posts * Gilly* so sorry you are missing out xx
Me too gilly.
INR over and glad to say it was spot on at 2.5 after last test 8 weeks ago. I was hoping for another reduction to the dose but never mind, can't have everything. I only now take 16mgs a week. Luckier than most and so thankful.
Surgery was a one door entry with notices everywhere and I was asked if I'd been abroad, or any of the family and did I feel well so at least they're keen on containment.
I hope everyone else has as good a day, especially if you've got the sunshine---which is hotting up nicely.xx
Urmstongran I think you're wise with your decision. There'll be other times a'plenty.
Blood letting sounds horrific dragonfly yuck. Just watched Simon Reeve in Russia on repeat a few nights ago and he went to a health spa thingy where he had leeches put on his tummy . Gross .
Do they do it in the same way as giving blood these days ?
EV ?
12Micheal. How did your casserole turn out last weekend? I saw a small slow cooker advertised in Yours magazine and have bought one to try out a vegetable curry and a rice pudding. Would like to hear your comments.
Good morning from a chilly Glasgow. A smattering of snow overnight and now the sun is trying to break through.
Try harder?
What a shame you can’t make it up for the concert gilly Keeping busy seems to be the answer so look forward to your wee GD’s happy face when she sees her big girl bedroom.
Both GDs are concerned for DH and I with regular instructions of what not to do re Corona virus. GD 10yr and a joker has told us to try not to kiss?? Cheeky besom.
A catch up day doing some chores.
Take care everyone with best wishes we all get through this worrying time unscathed?
Morning all from a bright but cold NE. Last day at work, before our weekend away with all of the family tomorrow, really looking forward to it. Sorry about your trip Gillbob hopefully when your and your husband are finally well, you will be able to plan something else. I am sure your GD will love her new room. Hope everyone else who is unwell starts to feel better.
Good afternoon from the Gower. Lovely blue sky and fair weather cloud here, sea's a bit foamy but looks lovely - though I wouldn't like to dip my toe in to test the water! Been into see my friend and neighbour, who is terminally ill, this morning as her daughter is in work until 3.30pm. She was a little bit quite this morning but trying to stay positive. Off into the Mumbles village shortly, just to carry out some basic business. Take care everyone, be kind to yourselves - especially those going through tough times.
