Good Morning Everyone,
Its light and a clear sky over Brackley this morning.
Today will be a long day for me, this morning I will make a quick visit to Bicester on the bus.
When I return a quick snack and maybe a small nap.
Then going by coach to see Mary Poppins in London for this evenings performance.
Usually back around midnight to 1am but more on it tomorrow.
Mick

Good Morning from a cold Fife, have had a smattering of snow. Out this morning to meet friend for coffee/catch up. Along to DD's this afternoon to look after DGS2 for a couple of hours. Whatever your plans I hope today is good for everyone.

Good morning from Birmingham. It was gloriously sunny half an hour ago, but now the grey clouds are gathering....
I’m meeting a friend at a local house and garden after lunch for a walk and a chat, and some of the delicious cake they sell. I’m hoping there will be a plant sale too so I can brighten up my balcony.
Good wishes to all those with problems, and I hope everyone has a good day. Micheal, enjoy your evening.

Good morning from sunny N Bucks. A stunning morning - you can really believe it’s Spring! (Cue hailstorms and blizzards!)
Arts Society (was NADFAS and I still call it that) this morning and Art History this afternoon. It will be nice to see people I know but for the first time this year I feel I want to be in the garden!
Not an easy coffee Marydoll but I can remember the comfort and relief of a friendly face and a cuppa nowhere near a hospital.
I am sure you will enjoy Mary Poppins, Mick, there is no substitute for live theatre and a musical always lifts the spirits.
Wishing you all a pleasant day.

Good morning Mick and all from Norfolk. Now having coffee in bed while listening to the wind outside which went on almost all night

I’m helping out with Chapel coffee morning then heading into the city for a meet up with friends today. Will prep a lentil bolognaise and put in slow cooker prior to going out

Hope you enjoy Mary Poppins Mick. Everyone enjoy your day

Good morning from a bright NE
Yesterday a kitchen fitters turned up to realign dishwasher door, made a good job of it. Downside was that two of them were in and out of the kitchen, to the van and back several times and also used the bathroom. DH and I went round with the disinfectant wipes on door knobs and so on. Just got sat down when the meter reader turned up and touched all the door handles again.
DS was in touch last night to ask if we were okay.
Son in law flew home to Europe yesterday evening and sent a photograph of the airport bar, 5.30 in the evening and not one person in there. He said very few people anywhere and not difficult to keep your distance.
His brother is a manager of a household appliance shop and he said perhaps they should sell loo rolls too, at least it would get shoppers through the door.
Today I am going to make carrot soup as we accidently bought too many.
Take care everyone.

Good Morning All x
Another lovely bright morning but a cold one too. After a decent day yesterday I was surprised to hear hailstones and rain lashing down late last night along with strong gusts of wind. It was a dreadful night so I took myself off to bed at 10pm, watched a bit of TV and went to sleep until 6am.

Nurse this morning for my INR. The surgery isn't far and it's never busy either.
Those stupid grass-cutters who were here the other day had left the garden door unlocked/unbolted and the damn thing was flapping and banging last night so once I'm dressed I'll bolt it from the inside then walk around and lock it on the outside.
How can folk be so idle not to lock up after themselves ? We, on the ground floor are sitting targets when the gates aren't secured.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the schools don't close down here because I'll have to have my GGC for a while rather than my D having to take time off work as 3 of them live with her for the time being, and she has a mortgage to pay. Whatever happens I'll muck in where I can. My GS who also still lives with his mum is very good with the children and helps out where he can depending on his shifts at work.

Some cleaning and a bit of washing to do, shopping done and dusted so no fear of running out of anything.

Hoping everyone is alright and bug-free. Enjoy your night at the theatre, Mick. Thoughts to Marydoll, Dragonfly and the Gillybob's and to all in these uncertain times.xx

Good morning, rain has just stopped here in Oxfordshire and the sun is out, cold wind though.
DH is still unwell, so is staying indoors, last night I tried to organise a shopping delivery, but all slots were full until Sunday night, maybe I should get myself organised and book a couple of slots for the next 2 weeks ?
I can always cancel them if they aren’t needed.
Hope everyone is well and has a good day.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Chillier than yesterday with strong wind.
Going with DS to pick up his new car this morning.

mancgirl Thu 12-Mar-20 07:31:47

Good morning everyone. Sunny start to the day which is supposed to be the hottest one this week. Nothing special planned today. Mr Manc is going for a run soon, might do the same route but walk it! Bit of gardening later and just chilling. Well, be rude not to take advantage of the hottest day! Have a good day all. Best wishes to those struggling with health problems and worries.

cornergran Thu 12-Mar-20 07:31:32

Morning Mick, morning All. Torrential rain woke me, then bright sunshine, now a hail storm complete with loud thunder. Our corner of Somerset can’t make up its mind. Apparently the sea front is full of debris after a very high tide last night, another one due in an hour. All very dramatic but I’ll be pleased when it settles down. Cooking and ironing for me this morning, painting for Mr C then a top up food shop. Exciting life here! Hope Thursday is kind to everyone.

brook2704 Thu 12-Mar-20 07:23:08

Good Morning everyone from Inverness. A light covering of snow this morning which looks lovely, don’t think it will last though.
Had a day at home yesterday , dodging the showers in and out of the garden !
I’m going to the gym later then a bit of shopping
Mick have a great time at Mary Poppins, two of my GC and their mums were there at half term and they all said the show was brilliant !
Urmstongran not sure what I’d do in your shoes but if you’re at all worried I’d postpone your get together - I’m sure all the ladies would understand ?
Take care everyone especially those with worries and struggles ?

Marydoll Thu 12-Mar-20 07:21:53

Good morning all from Glasgow, where it looks as if we have had snow showers overnight. It's pretty chilly. Brrrrrr!

I had planned a quiet day, sorting the gifts for the bridesmaid, best man etc, but my friend, whose son has died has asked me to meet her for coffee. She just wants to get out away from everything.

I had a productive day yesterday, a bit of clearing out of wardrobes for the charity shop , but now I have less space than previously. How on earth did that happen? ?

We have wedding guests coming from the USA to the wedding, but I'm beginning to wonder if they will manage.

Welcome grandMattie and Mick, enjoy your trip.

Best wishes to all who are suffering physically and emotionally. ?

Grammaretto Thu 12-Mar-20 07:18:00

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. A winter wonderland here after a heavy snowfall overnight.
This will add to complications as DFiL has to be taken to the chiropodist.
I should be preparing for a weekend away. The organisers will let us know by midday re cancellation. I am still finding the official advice about coronovirus, confusing.
Is it a case of is your journey really necessary?
Hoping those with worries are coping ok.

Susan56 Thu 12-Mar-20 07:17:52

Good morning from the Shropshire borders.
The boiler has broken so a tad chilly here.Waiting and watching the clock so we can phone the engineer and hopefully it is something that can be fixed today??
I will take DGD to pre school at midday otherwise no plans.
Have a good day all and special thoughts to Mary, dragonfly,Ellan and family and gilly and Mr gilly.x

Nannytopsy Thu 12-Mar-20 07:13:31

Is not I’d!

Nannytopsy Thu 12-Mar-20 07:12:27

Morning Mick and all his followers.
Out to the supermarket today and also to get some fabric to recover some dining chairs. I’m making sure I have plenty to do if we get locked down!
This weekend we are celebrating SiL’s birthday with a girlie trip to London for lunch and a theatre matinee. I do hope it goes ahead or we shall lose hotel money, tickets etc. Trump thinks the UK I’d OK though... grin

Sark Thu 12-Mar-20 07:09:09

Good Morning from Oxfordshire
Have a good day everyone

BlueSapphire Thu 12-Mar-20 07:04:57

Good morning everyone from a dry and bright Northampton. Feels chilly though.
Just sitting with my tea and a ginger biscuit for dunking; the cats are having a mad half hour chasing each other around.
More pottering this morning - and disinfecting! I read on the NHS site that frequently touched items should be disinfected daily. So, that's phone, kindle, laptop keyboard, tv remote, door handles, light switches etc. Doesn't take long.
May go to ballet class after lunch, then pick up DGD from school.

Hope you enjoy Mary Poppins, Mick; I've heard its very good.
Have the best day, everyone.

kittylester Thu 12-Mar-20 07:01:57

Morning all from a bright North Leicestershire.

I'm going to Sainsbury's this morning while our cleaner cleans the bits of the house that she can find.

NanKate Thu 12-Mar-20 07:00:16

Morning Mick and All from a sunny West Sussex.

Just waiting for the 2 DGSs to come hurtling into the bedroom. Fortunately they are both recovered from their illnesses and are back on form. It’s lucky their Dad returns tomorrow as I suspect the schools will close very soon and we want to go back home and hunker down.

Hope you have a great night Mick at Mary Poppins.

? to all the poorly and worried folk.

Mythbirtthedragon Thu 12-Mar-20 07:00:04

Good morning from east London, bright outside but cooler than yesterday. Off to help at foodbank this morning then choir this evening. No cancellations of anything yet, although a community group meeting with the Council on Saturday has been postponed. Have a good day.

Beechnut Thu 12-Mar-20 06:57:49

Good Morning everyone.
It has been raining overnight on Severnside so it’s damp outside.

I made two tip runs yesterday and plan to do a little bit more attic clearing today.

I hope you all have a pleasant day and I’m passing on the smile ? from Scentia to the next poster. Enjoy your performance Mick ?

Urmstongran Thu 12-Mar-20 06:57:43

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s a more hazy start to the day. I cannot believe we’ve been here one week already!

I’ve made a cuppa and brought it back to bed and am having a think.

Can’t decide what to do about this afternoon.

I’ve invited 5 neighbours over this afternoon for drinks and snacks. We range in age from 65y (me) up to 84y. Everyone accepted the invitation to come over and my heart is looking forward to it. But my head is asking ‘is this a good idea’ in the light of coronovirus? 7 people in a room and who knows whether any one of us is incubating the virus. None of us have underlying health issues - even the 84y old doesn’t take medication of any sort. But still. I will discuss it with Himself when he wakes up. I’m thinking maybe we should cancel. But then, maybe not ...

Hello to you newbie grandMattie! ? Where is ‘here’?

Hope Thursday is good to us all whether we have any plans or none. x

Scentia Thu 12-Mar-20 06:35:01

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. Looks like a nice day out there, I will take the bins out and test the temperature shortly.
Had a fright when I woke up to Trump’s announcement of him closing US borders to Europe, then he casually added on the end “but not the UK, you can still come!”
Thank goodness my DH can still fly out on Wednesday for his trip of a lifetime. (Luckily he hasn’t been into mainland Europe in the last 14 days)
Normal work day for me today. We didn’t visit FiL in his home last night as I have a cold and thought it quite improper to go and DH is ‘scared’ to go on his own?
I do hope that all in the sick bay and all who have struggles can find a chink of pleasure from today. I am sending my big smile to you all.?

grandMattie Thu 12-Mar-20 06:22:56

Morning everyone.glorious day here. Fullish Moon like a spotlight before dawn. No Spanish class today as my boy has got my car, so I’m going to my craft group instead. Don’t know which I prefer!
