Going cashless?

Anyone know anything about this?

I was told by one supermarket that they preferred us to use the card and would probably only accept cards from next week!

The last take away coffee I bought at Costa (Sat) said they wouldn't be accepting cash from this Friday (10th) onwards.

I thought it would be better to have some cash at home in case others did some shopping for me. But it seems I'm out of step.

Yes, far more hygienic to use your card. Several places I've been to are not taking cash.

Tesco is card only at tills. Can use cash at self service.

Card only payments are prefared in quite afew shops locally, including the Pharmacy attached to our medical centre, which has now closed for face to face apointments.

Its been good fun teaching my DH how to use my card for contactless payments using my card reader to demonstrate!

My daughter's work canteen is now cashless.
