In Gemini Towers we have a new plan to help us survive the isolation. A daily timetable . It will begin tomorrow and follows helpful hints from the tv tonight.

7am Dawn chorus. Opera singing in the back garden.
( thanks to Gareth Malone for the suggestion. Husband not keen. I have a sore throat but nevertheless....)

10am old fashioned PT hour jogging round the daffs till out of puff. No kit ? Do what we did in the old days. Tuck vest in.

11am Tai Chi or our version thereof. Also in back garden ( hope it doesn’t rain )

Lunch
PM
2pm Chinese language lesson . Could prove useful.
3pm Meal planning using Blitz cook book. Spam fritters maybe ?
4pm Meditation hour. In garden if fine. Loud chants of Om and banging of gongs/chimes /dustbin lids or whatever’s to hand .
5pm Watch Big Brother Boris’s guide to isolation for the old guys on the telescreen.

I’m too tired to plan the evening. Any suggestions ? Would any one like to join us by videolink tomorrow ? ???‍♂️??

marmight if the weather is nice I think a nice trip to the balcony would be in order but if its cloudy I might travel to the walk in closet and see if there are any nice offers on.?

Doodle Fri 20-Mar-20 22:30:07

Er no gaunt sorry, but I do have an old garden bench I can throw a rug over. That will do well enough.
P.S DH wants to join the knitting group tomorrow.....not to knit, he just wants some of gaunt’s chocolate torte ?

Well I was all purposeful and decided to clean lots of stuff including my fridge. I had almost finished and was replacing the tray in the door that holds the milk when disaster struck! I gave it what I thought was a gentle tap to get in in place, but I hit it too hard and knocked it right out and it fell on the floor and broke clean in half! Fast forward half an hour on the phone and £21 later and I have a new one arriving in a few days. Think I'll revert to being my lazy self from now on!

Gaunt47 Fri 20-Mar-20 22:11:56

Doodle do you have a podium for Jane to recline on?

Gaunt47 Fri 20-Mar-20 22:10:07

Gemini I didn't stand you up, I was back at Gemini Towers with the choir. We snuck out when we saw you coming home. Sorry I left you with the washing up.

Marmight Fri 20-Mar-20 22:07:30

An idea for the weekend wink

Gemini17892 Fri 20-Mar-20 21:05:38

Listen up everyone. Rowyn’s going to lead the choir tomorrow. I think she’s posh because she’s a member of a proper choir. They sing in a foreign language too Bella Senora . Not in my repertoire I have to say but I’m willing to give it a shot. New time too 10am so we can have a lie in.

Gemini17892 Fri 20-Mar-20 20:59:55

Doodle ????

Doodle Fri 20-Mar-20 20:58:45

Nooo. I’ll have Jane’s gemini. It’ll make up for her eating all the cake. gaunt chocolate and hazelnut torte sounds delicious ? thank you. Well jane I did warn you about the swimsuit. I guess with your arms in plaster the knitting / knotting is out of the picture too. I’ve been wondering what you could do now and I think you could be the life model for the art class. After all, half of you can’t move anyway ?

Gemini17892 Fri 20-Mar-20 20:46:56

Gaunt ! You stood me up ! I’ve had 2 g and ts sitting on my virtual table for an hour. Maybe I’d better drink yours too ?

Gemini17892 Fri 20-Mar-20 20:41:11

Jane10???
That made me chuckle out loud. Mr G gave me a funny look.

Jane10 Fri 20-Mar-20 19:59:33

Well my virtual swimming didn't go well. I knew that high dive off the bookcase was too ambitious. Can't eat cake now with both arms in plaster. My swimsuit caused a bit of a stir in A&E.

Gaunt47 Fri 20-Mar-20 19:32:46

I've just looked at Gemini's timetable, it's exhausting - and we're going to just sit around knitting and eating cake??

Gaunt47 Fri 20-Mar-20 19:31:13

Doodle Thoughtful of you, thank you. A good Victoria sponge is the food of gods. I'll contribute a chocolate and hazelnut torte if that's OK.

Doodle Fri 20-Mar-20 17:33:06

hilly I will try and bring some nautical knotting guidelines for tomorrow.

Doodle Fri 20-Mar-20 17:31:57

Phew. Sorry so late back folks. I got stuck in the greenhouse.
So let’s see what have we all been up to.
jane what an interesting project. Are you sure the pattern you’ve chosen is wise? The holes seem to be in some, ahem.. interesting places blush
gemini oh yes a wonderful pattern that would be a good one to follow.
gaunt a blanket would be a good choice. Sorry about the cake, I will bring a Victoria sponge tomorrow and make sure you get yours before jane has a slice (scoffs the lot ?)

Gaunt47 Fri 20-Mar-20 16:43:19

You do know Patsy that what looked like a yellow scrap of cloth was found at the bottom of the deep end don't you?

Patsy70 Fri 20-Mar-20 16:30:41

Phew, that was exhausting and the water so cold shock. Looks like I'll have to make my own cake! cupcake

HillyN Fri 20-Mar-20 16:28:23

I tried knitting and nattering but looking at the result I think I'd be better in the knot and natter group. confused

Gemini17892 Fri 20-Mar-20 15:18:52

Doodle ? You there ?
I’ve got a pattern for isolation scarf for your knit and natter group .
Thanks for the delish cake. Wasn’t much left after Jane10 got at it though.

Gemini17892 Fri 20-Mar-20 15:12:27

Knitted swimsuits eh ? My mum actually knitted herself one of these after the war and was really embarrassed the first time it got wet . ?
Ok then hold nose jump in. Arms up. Kick legs. Patsy70 take that cap off you look silly. Like your cozzie though ???
Right that’s enough of that !

Littleannie Fri 20-Mar-20 14:56:34

I am still studying the cut your own hair video on YouTube. DH has sharpened the shears for me.

rowyn Fri 20-Mar-20 14:54:26

"I'm going to knot myself a lovely bathing costume for the virtual swimming at 3"
Jane 10, isn't that macrame?

Gaunt47 Fri 20-Mar-20 14:22:40

Can I use up that big pile of black yarn which everybody seems to be avoiding? I'll knit a blanket.
jane that cake's for everybody you know.

Jane10 Fri 20-Mar-20 14:20:54

I'm going to knot myself a lovely bathing costume for the virtual swimming at 3. I'll leave the cake till after that as I'll need something restorative.
