Aftermath of the Covid19

Maybe it will bring an end to the consumerism and conspicuous consumption so obvious recently. Less flying and more use of technology to communicate. What else? It might not be all doom and gloom. We seem to be rediscovering neighbourliness and community support.

Just reading an article by Larry Elliot which says that it is estimated that the U.K.s economy is on course to shrink by 15% in its second quarter. “That is not a recession, it is a collapse surpassing anything in modern times, including the Great Depression”

The world response must be coordinated to deal with this, but with the type of nationalist populist governments springing up , the world has never looked less prepared. This time it isn’t the banks that need bailing out it is the worlds population.
Covid19 is both a health and economic crises.

Or of course massive reintroduction of austerity.

The economic consequences will be massive. At the very least big tax rises. However, there could be more permanent positive changes too.

I am only worried about being with my family again one day

I think some changes will be for the good but I also think our economy, and a lot of others, will be in very bad shape. Is this the time to be going ahead with a hard Brexit that will only put more strain on the economy?
