Not much cheer around other than the "Belly Laugh" thread! sad
We've had a whole string of shut-downs since yesterday and it can't be long before we get picked up by the police for simply walking along the road and asked for an explanation!
Both football codes; footy and rugby have been given the flick and the future of the Tokyo Olympics seems very much in the air. What effect that must be having on their training schedules is anybody's guess!
Good news is that Nurse Jacqui returned today. wink Of course, their job has taken on another perspective and I learned a lot about necessary procedures for anyone feeling unwell; Rule 1. don't turn up at GP's surgery saying "I think I've got a cold! " hmmThere seem to be plenty of useful phone numbers for advice and even special tents set up for testing; only for suspect cases, of course!
Must venture out tomorrow for milk, frozen vegies etc there was nothing left after the hoarders had cleared everything out last time I looked.
Our PM gets very annoyed at all the "Un-Australian" attitudes on display lately, which explains why Bondi Beach was closed.
Today it was the turn of cafes, restaurants, pubs, gyms!
Not many options left.
Good Health

Hi Rufus

Much the same here, all doom and gloom, but it’s a lovely sunny Spring day so we are out in the garden, it’s chilly so wearing jackets!
I think we will soon be on lockdown mostly due to idiots flocking to seaside resorts and treating this as an excuse for a holiday. The few will certainly spoil it for the rest.
We are only being tested if we turn up to the hospital at deaths door, useful? Nope.
Anyway have a good day and stay safe.

Hi Rufus.

We're all just plodding along. In the house of course.

We are lucky and have some all but deserted woodlands nearby so the small dog is still getting her stroll

Lovely day here and I too shall be pottering in the garden

Stay well!

Hi Rufus feeling low at all this guess mainly shock. Had FaceTime call yesterday from my sons and grandkids, in my case this is normal so just grateful for that. Sunny at last which helps to lift our spirits. Look forward to your cheerful updates. Take care wine

Good Evening all, just got in from work. Had a shower, clothes in washing machine.
Waiting for partner to get me a cuppa, which is nice of him.

Hello Rufus we are fairly housebound still apart from an early walk and as this is a small town I don't usually see many people.

If there is someone else on the footpath one of us walks right out to the edge or waits at a corner to let one or the other go ahead.

It's a bit like a ghost town except for the supermarket and chemist - both daughters work at the supermarket but the older one is very stressed out and frightened of getting the virus. She has kept her children home from school and has cut back to just one weekend shift.

They are getting glass/perspex screens soon which is not before time.

All REX (reginal airline) flights are stopping soon and it will be very strange for us as we live a couple of hundred metres from the airport.

With several flights a day and all the vehicles coming and going it will be like "The Silence of the Lambs" when the planes stop.

Hope you are keeping well still and everyone else following.
