Book tickets for the theatre
Go to the cinema, followed by a nice meal in my favourite bistro
Have my hair cut and coloured

What about you?

Just before the lockdown, I went with a few friends to Elevation, where we had a magnificent meal and enjoyed spectacular views.

We have pledged that once we are free, we'll go back and do it all again grin

Go out on a long, long ride on my motorcycle, not stop until bladder needs must be met!
Go to our caravan in Devon, which we normally do each month. Have walks in the woods which are around the caravan site and enjoy being surrounded by trees, not houses.
Visit the Lace Museum in Honiton (regular treat I'm already missing).
Do Ladies-wot-lunch and coffee and cake out with various friends.
Resume my bike club meetings, and my craft group meetings and once again be in the company of friends who presently I can only be in touch with by phone or social media.
Visit family again.
In short, get all the things back which make life good and which I'm so already missing.

Try to remember to be thankful for every day that I am able to leave the house to meet friends and family, play with my grandchildren, go to clubs and classes, go for a meal, etc, etc.

Try and persuade my husband that we need to get out and about much more than we currently do because who knows what's round the corner.

Have a reflexology session, a short break and book a holiday.

Congratulations Krazykat - wishing you many, many years of happiness with your grandchildren flowers

See my sister who lives on her own and is just getting on with it. See my lovely grandchildren and have a family party! As I’ve missed them all so much! And never take anything for granted again!

Mrst1405 Thu 26-Mar-20 22:34:12

Just go out for a meal!! And go on several postponed holidays!

Visit DD, working at home and living alone, on the way to visit DS, DDiL and DGC.

Have a haircut (both of us)

Go back to the pub where we had our last meal out before going into purdah and celbrate with our first meal out since purdah ended.

Visit our house in France to see how it has survived our prolonged absence. Eat at all our favourite restaurants there.

Krazykat and Newatthis Congratulations on the births of your new grandchildren flowers

In the hope we all come out of this at the other side, I can’t wait to see all my family, friends and clients.

I’m actually missing the day-to-day interaction I get when working. It’s not quite the same via Zoom and telephone although it’s a brilliant alternative.

I know I’m incredibly lucky because I have a wonderful husband, who is also working from home, but I do miss my ‘normal’ life.

I can’t wait to be back in my office doing the job I love

Joesoap Thu 26-Mar-20 20:48:06

Go to Rome( should have been there last week) go to the UK ( dont live there) spend lots of time travelling the country and meeting my friends again cant wait!

Oopsadaisy3 Thu 26-Mar-20 20:13:06

One thing I won’t do is book a cruise.

annodomini Thu 26-Mar-20 19:54:13

Get on a train to see my sons and their families. Then another train to see my sister and other relatives in Scotland.
Hopefully - celebrate my BIG birthday in November.

Laurensnan Thu 26-Mar-20 19:21:13

jerseygirl Thu 26-Mar-20 19:12:52

And hug my grandson too !!

jerseygirl Thu 26-Mar-20 19:12:03

Plenty of chicken!! you cant get any for love nor money here!!!

GrannyLaine Thu 26-Mar-20 18:53:40

Patsy429 can I add my good wishes and my hope for a quick and easy labour for your daughter. I can imagine how difficult it will be for you, waiting for that first cuddle and smelling that newborn smell! This will be your greatest act of love, helping to keep your family safe and what stories you will have to tell your grandchild in years to come.

granmanat Thu 26-Mar-20 17:17:30

Patsy 429, I am so excited for you and I pray all goes well for your daughter and newborn grandchild.

I look forward to seeing my granddaughter and taking her to the zoo.
I look forward to mooching around the shops and having a curry with my friend because when I was poorly recently, she offered to take care of my shopping, knocking then leaving it at my front door.
I couldn't hug her for her kindness and generosity to me but I will when it's over...

Chewbacca Thu 26-Mar-20 17:15:10

My neighbours, on both sides of the fence, and I have today decided that we're going to have a garden party when this is all over. Invite all the other neighbours to bring a bottle, something to share to eat, and we'll all get to know each again. Looking forward to that!

Thecatshatontgemat Thu 26-Mar-20 16:33:18

Go back to work.
See my friends.
Shop when l want to, and go where l want to.

And hopefully, cheer to the rafters that l did not get the damn virus (here's hoping.....)

Gwenisgreat1 Thu 26-Mar-20 16:31:51

Get cuddles from my two grandchildren (hope they haven't forgotten me). The go and experience shopping for things!! Probably be desperate for a hair cut, too.

May7 Thu 26-Mar-20 16:30:21

Wow wonderful news hope all goes well ?

Patsy429 Thu 26-Mar-20 16:28:57

See my new grandchild and give him/her a huge cuddle. Daughter in labour as I write. Hope and pray everything goes smoothly. I won't be able to visit although I will see the new arrival by Skype/Zoom etc. I know thousands of grandparents are in this position because they live thousands of miles away but my newest grandchild will be about a mile away. Still I'll make up for it when this is all over. And I will give the biggest hugs to all I love, and go out for lunch and coffee, and enjoy life and God's creation.
