Good Morning Friday
(86 Posts)Good morning from a cold sunny Bristol.
Mick you take care .
Did not sleep great last night I have been awake for hours so no point in lying in bed,its going to be a long day.
I hope all have a good day.
Good morning from another sunny day here in Cheshire. It was glorious yesterday, and got quite hot at midday. Finally got around to washing my car, I can't remember the last time I washed it, as I usually go to the car wash. We both took the dog for a long walk along the tow path yesterday, met a few people, but we all kept our distance. I was out in the garden and could hear himself pottering about in the kitchen; when I went in to see what he was doing he proudly imformed me that he was making some soup. Well, that's very helpful, except he had used every single vegetable that was in the fridge! So much for the meals I had planned! So off shopping today for the first time since lockdown, not only to replace the veg, but have started running low on lots of other things, lets hope the supermarket is well stocked. Went outside at 8.00pm last night to clap for the NHS workers; was sad to see only 2 other neighbours had bothered; but did see on FB that lots of my friends and the whole streets they lived in had made the effort. Bravo to all those selfless workers, they deserve every penny and much more that they are paid. Lets hope when this is over that they and all other key workers get tbe recognition they deserve. Take care everyone, keep safe.
Goodmorning Mick and all x
Take care of yourself Mick, get that slow cooker going!!
MawB good news regarding your GS.
It's trying to brighten up here in S E Essex, which lifts ones spirit. Going to do an online exercise class this morning, then some ironing and sort out/thoroughly clean the fridge (which when written down seems incredibly boring
)
Keep safe and well folks x
Good morning Mick
Hope you start to feel better soon, please stay indoors! and get over your bug .
Frosty start here today, the sky clouded up for a while but it’s clearing now , breeze has dropped so hopefully it will be a sunny day, maybe the last for a while but since when have we believed the weather forecast?
DDs other half is better, he seems to have had all of the symptoms of Covid 19 but fairly mild, so far DD is also ok, he was really poorly, but young, hopefully it won’t be passed onto DD or the children, their quarantine ends soon, but they live in the middle of nowhere anyway so it hasnt had too much impact on them
Have a good day everybody and please stay safe (but get some fresh air, we all need some Vitamin D.)
Good morning from east London, blue skies and chilly this morning. Foodbank was closed yesterday as I was the only volunteer available to work. Given we’re an outpost of the main bank in Walthamstow, I assume people are being directed there. Car passed its MOT with a full set of new tyres (mechanic did refer to ‘second mortgage’). The garage was prioritising NHS staff but when my car went in, there were only a couple of other bookings. I was keen to get it done as, even though MOTs are being extended, I’m sure the insurance companies will be imposing strict conditions on renewals without MOT. I checked with DB2, who works in car insurance and they are assessed as being still needing to work. So that makes 3 of my siblings working; DB1 works in ‘waste’ and DS2 is due back at her hospital next week. Choir last night was uplifting, there must have been about 35-40 in that virtual room. Today, I will be catching up with Gareth Malone, inputting some rainfall statistics (article on radio yesterday), updating the COVID app, reading my book club book where I’m running out of time. There’s a little echo in this house that’s saying I could help with rebuilding the compost heap; I’ll give him a chance to get going first. Have a good day.
Good Morning Mick, and all to come from here in East Staffordshire. Looks cold out there today. Need to go into the factory today to get a pallet ready for collection this morning.
Took my doggie out attached to my push bike for the first time last night and she loved it, so did I. That will be our new exercise as I can no longer run!
I do hope that everyone has the best day possible today and I leave you with my smile to pass along. ?
Good morning Mick and all to come, I hope you start to feel better soon. Losing a few kilos in a week sounds like too much, too quickly.
Do try sticking to soft foods, soups or stews (get that slow cooker working) and seek help if the throat gets worse.
Glad to say my 8 year old grandson (continuous hacking cough and fever since the weekend ?) seems to have perked up and his temperature is back to normal. Just hoping his siblings (9 and 5) and his parents don’t succumb. It’s a sunny morning here in N Bucks but chilly - let us see what the day brings. Wishing you all well.
Good morning Mick and all to follow. Another grey skies day in Glasgow so a faff around the house day ahead.
Awake at 1.30am as I could hear the cat running about then discovered she had brought a mouse in to play with. Hoping they would tire themselves out I eventually left them to it
Back downstairs at 2.30, eventually caught an exhausted mouse ran barefoot into the garden an let it go.
Got back to sleep then wide awake at 5.45. I am shattered! No doubt a long snooze is in order later.
Hope everyone is managing as best they can as we all keep making an effort to do everything possible to stay in good health.
Good morning Mick, I hope you feel a lot better later.
I am type 2 diabetic also, well under control thankfully.
I also have enough tablets to last me for a few weeks.
The weather here is cloudy but dry, it may develop into another good day, lovely to look at from the window, even if going outside is impossible.
Good Morning Everyone,
Yet another bright start to the day here in Brackley.
Have lost a few kilos in weight this week, with a sore throat etc, which was making it hard to digest anything, I took a lemsip last night which has worked , plus a few nose bleeds as well.
With the lockdown ,spoiling a pleasures of going out anywhere .
Where I live restrictions have come into force as to 2M distancing, community lounge and kitchen out of bounds .
So its room only apart from local shop/bank .
As yet to get a letter if I am one billions who then would have stay put due to medications etc I am type 2 Diabetes but manage to control, plus other tablets like blood pressure, and things all under control .
Mick
