An easier maths puzzle to solve

No BODMAS, just problem solving. ?

I know it doesn’t really? I only said that because I don’t know how to bump.

Still haven’t had time to look at it though.

Just about to do my daily work out, pick in some washing then have a shower. I have soup to make as well.

Does bodmas come into this?

Triangles - Inside number is obtained by multiplying the three numbers shown on the outside

3rd triangle.....multiply the numbers shown 6,3,7 (in any order) = 126

Mary's age.....Leap year happens every four years with some exceptions. According to several calendars I consulted, 1896 was a leap year, as were 1892, 1896 and 1904. (1895 was not and neither was 1900). Born in 1895, Mary's birthday would have marked the passing of 122 (regular years) some time in 2017. Divided by 4, that would have been 30.5 years.....but 1895 was not a leap year.....so where does that leave us?

Oops...I almost didn't see the one about the children!

Miss Brown (3 years older) is 10 and Mary is 7. Surname White is the 9 year old boy. Mary can't be Miss Brown or Master White therefore she's Mary Green. First names are Ann, Brian and Mary....she's not Brian or Mary, so that leaves us only with Miss Ann Brown.

7 x 7 = 49

7 + 1 = 8
8 + 49 = 57

57 - 7 = 50

No, got it wrong although it seemed logical it wasn't BODMASed

The answer is 50

I never thought of Mary's birthday being that hence my previous post.

Now to the equation

(7 + 7) = 14
14 ÷ 7 = 2

(7 × 7) = 49
49 - 7 = 42

42 + 2 = 44
