Good Morning Everyone,
Its twilight but its dry , will do my usual maybe some housework, but go and get my cycling magazine.
Before I close the door for the rest of the day.
Boredom is creeping in , but I relate to living on a desert island with this isolation, you have music ,films etc in when do you watch and when do you play a favourite CD
Take Care
Mick

Good morning everyone from grey mid-Notts. I was surprised we have just had the window cleaner - I think I was expecting he wouldn't be working. I always pay him by bank transfer so no cash being handled here but I wouldn't think everyone pays this way. Maybe I'm overthinking but think we need to be so careful. My cleaning lady posted the baby knitting to DDs friend yesterday. She is NOT working for us atm and picked the parcel up from outside our door on her way to pist office. Just in time as the baby was born 4 weeks early last night - no problems with mum or baby though smile. I must check my online order later then it's onwards with the knitting before pasta rustica for tea - DOHs speciality so no cook day for me. Stay safe everyone and may Thursday be kind to us all x

Good morning from a grey and cold market Harborough.

Sending love and hugs to all of those ill, caring for others or just plain fed up.

One for you Urmstongran
So: A bloke went into Tesco’s and started rushing around the shop buying 20 packets of paella rice, 5cases of tequila, 8 sombreros and 12 piñatas.

The store assistant called him over and told him to stop Hispanic buying.

Good morning everyone from sunny West Yorkshire.
I don’t know what I am going to do today.
Big cat will do what she always does - snack, sleep and thoroughly enjoy being loved and cuddled.
Thinking especially about those who are ill or troubled. Everyone else please take care.

Good morning all from Glasgow. Very blustery here this morning and high winds due later.

Did a bit more gardening yesterday then a waitrose trip for a few bags of frozen veg, fruit, fish and chicken plus other essentials. It wasn’t too busy, I think due to shoppers who come from further afield, won’t be making the journey to shop here.

A few phone calls/FaceTime with friends was a good tonic for all of us as we compared what we are doing to,pass the time etc. Lots of blethering and many laughs is our new normal at the moment when we can’t meet up outside.

Basic housework done so about to sit down and finish my book, for starters?

Have the best day you can all.

Morning Mick and All.

A tiny bit of sun poking out from the clouds.

Enjoy Line of Duty Kitty. I am keeping Outlander on Amazon Prime until the whole 16 episodes are there, as I want to binge. Do you remember the days when we waited a whole week for the next episode of our favourite programmes ?

I wish you could set up a Bakery Mary from your kitchen and send your delicious cookies around the country by mail. I would be your first sign up.

Good morning Mick and the GM team. It’s grey in east London today. I have really enjoyed reading everyone’s posts this morning, with all our deeds and plans.

My pain is reducing and thus I can reduce my pain killers (hurrah). Expecting a phone consultation from my Consultant today.

We roasted a large piece of gammon yesterday, which we portioned into meal sized packages for the freezer. Cauliflower cheese with some of the gammon for supper. Vegetable soup for lunch, ( I am making more use than ever before, of the Covent Garden Soup Company recipe book).

Good thoughts to those in Sick Bay or having wobbles. Cornergran said something in her post this morning that reminded me of Sgt Phil in Hill Street Blues ( which we used to love) ‘Let’s be careful out there ...’ ?

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

Nothing planned today. DH survived his trip to the GP yesterday. There was no-one else there and the nurse who took his blood was masked up. As soon as he walked through the door I stripped him off and packed him into the shower.

Megs36 our doctor sends our prescriptions to Boots who then deliver it as I am shielded.
I also get priority Sainsbury delivery, milk, organic veg and artisan bread delivered. We also have a wine subscription service so I may never go out again! ?

ursmston he got the wine, he got his priorities right grin

grannysyb Thu 02-Apr-20 09:16:33

Up late as had a broken nights sleep. Weather grey and dull here, so not going to allotment. Will clean upstairs for exercise instead. My upholstery group are having a zoom chat at 11 o'clock, hope it works! Have a good day everyone.

Megs36 Thu 02-Apr-20 09:15:31

Morning all, getting worried about prescriptions delivery as neither of us. ‘Allowed’ out! Also not got food parcel which apparently coming to those in our position, still got stuff in freezer but won’t last another 10weeks.
Gilly I seem to remember your husband was expecting an operation imminently and you had sinus/dental problem, hope these are sorted as well as other things.
May stir from the armchair soon for a shower?

vena11 Thu 02-Apr-20 09:15:25

Purplepixie Thu 02-Apr-20 09:11:58

Good morning from a sunny east Midlands.

Hope you're all well and hanging in there.

Going to make some biscuits and a cake today then a bit in the garden.

Stay safe. Sending best wishes to all who are suffering. X

gillybob Thu 02-Apr-20 09:11:30

Oops the above to Anniebach smile

gillybob Thu 02-Apr-20 09:11:09

And did you make any decision on the outside seat ? I thought a windbreak could be a good solution? Mind you it’s very windy here in the North East today so a windbreak would probably take off .

GabriellaG54 Thu 02-Apr-20 09:08:31

But Anniebach, can you get out, if only for a short ride on Fred or a wobble down your path holding onto the handrail? I hope so ?

Anniebach Thu 02-Apr-20 09:02:53

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Sorry I can’t write more, nothing to say,

Urmstongran Thu 02-Apr-20 09:02:37

Himself is back from over the road with ESSENTIALS for the week. He also managed to carry some shopping for our 84y old neighbour who is extremely anxious about going shopping.

My hero ?

GabriellaG54 Thu 02-Apr-20 08:55:04

Hi folks ??
A dull chillier day here in Godalming, a blank grey/white sheet of a sky and even the leaves aren't moving.
Still, I had a good run at 05.30 over the fields and along the towpath through town and back a different way. Same route can be boring. Saw 3 runners and 4 ducks.
Had muesli, yogurt blueberries and a sliced banana after a shower and now reclining on sofa in pjs and robe after watering plants.
I wanted to grow tomatoes in a grow bag but need to erect protection ie: small greenhouse from Aldi...I don't know. Might be fiddly to put together...all those tubes and unclear instructions.
YouTube might have video of it.
Not a lot going on here. Bread from packet mix in bread maker and smells wonderful so far... says 'Rustic seeded' so I will enjoy with Cornish butter, cheese and chunky home-made veg soup for my lunch/dinner. This is a two meal a day household ??
Take care everyone and ? to GNers having to isolate abroad such as Urmstongran and those struggling with various illness/problems.
BFN ???

kittylester Thu 02-Apr-20 08:52:30

Morning all from a slightly cloudy North Leicestershire.

More organisation of the dining room here today and then some more Line of Duty in the hope that we understand it!

Mapleleaf Thu 02-Apr-20 08:47:59

Good morning all,

It’s turned grey and cloudy now after a bright start.

My Pilates class via zoom is due to start in half an hour, so looking forward to that.

Rest of DH’s prescription is now ready, so will go and join the queue for that later.

If it remains dry, I’ll go into the garden this pm and do a little tidying and plant some seeds into small pots.

I will catch up with all your posts later, I’ve only had time to read a handful so far. Take care all, and keep safe. ?

Pittcity Thu 02-Apr-20 08:45:29

Good morning from a grey Colchester. The weather is warming up. I have a courgette seedling on the windowsill that is huge and will be planted out at the weekend. I also have salad leaves growing. All from seeds bought at Lidl.
Will be stocktaking the freezer, planning a menu and writing a list before a trip to Lidl.
Big hugs to all, especially Gillybob xx

conor Thu 02-Apr-20 08:39:12

Good morning from sunny but oh so quiet Essex. My street is usually very quiet as a cul-de sac but you can hear yourself breathe! I was cleaning patio my patio doors yesterday but couldn't bring myself to clean DGS2s fingerprints as who knows when he will put them on there again!
Work out with Joe and Zoom yoga today. Will hope to do some gardening if it is warm enough and have delivery of Argos solar lights(highlight of my day!!)
Musn't forget clap for NHS at 8pm tonight for my beautiful daughter, currently self isolated as she thinks she had the virus. Hope everyone's day goes OK xxx

Chewbacca Thu 02-Apr-20 08:37:47

Morning everyone from a grey, overcast Cheshire. I was going to strip the beds and do laundry today but as the weather doesn't look too promising, there's no point as I don't want wet washing hanging around the house. I saw my GC going past my house, whilst on their daily walk/bike ride yesterday and that gave me a real lift, but I'm really missing the physical contact now!

To all those struggling, please accept these flowers

Doorstop Thu 02-Apr-20 08:37:46

gillybob Hope you manage to get your own food bits and pieces, it’s scary worrying about your card being declined, it’s happened to me once or twice, our DS is helping us out with food at the moment which has enabled me to buy other much needed items online. He pops to small local store, don’t think I can face the supermarket!
So I am grateful to him.
