Where to buy plants during lockdown?

My local Aldi had bedding plants and lovely Clematis on Saturday.

I got roundly castigated for ordering non-essential items on another thread, putting people's lives in danger, working in warehouses, delivering etc.

My local garden centre does click and collect or free delivery!

idealworld.tv and gardenbargains.com are good sites as well as thompsonandmorgan.co.uk , the TV show is on Sunday mornings.
Local garden centres are taking email and phone orders and if very close leave at their gate for collection or can deliver for a small charge.. My local one has been leaving cages of spring plants on the roadside for key workers to take for nothing.

My daughter and granddaughter have planted the seeds from the tomatoes and peppers they had for lunch.
They're germinating nicely!

Our local nursery is delivering direct to customers’ homes. Worth giving your local nursery a call. All those young plants need a home!

I've ordered from Gardening Direct a couple of times in the past week. I've used them before and the plants were good.

Yes our local garden centres are delivering had three bags of compost today free delivery

I get cuttings from friends in gardening club.

Waitrose, Aldi, Homebase and local garden centres.

Some supermarkets sell plants and garden supplies.

I saw on some of my Facebook groups that a lot of local garden centres are delivering. All their stock is going to waste otherwise. Worth calling them up if you're looking? Suttons is another option for seeds and plants - although I did try earlier to get on their site and was held in a queue. Clearly many people with same idea!

Online for a few plants (and many seeds), cuttings from last year, one bag of compost from the milkman - the rest from our own bins.

Otherwise, making do with what we have. I've dug up, divided and moved many things.

It's just inappropriate to even consider buying new garden furniture right now.

Yes Crocus for me too. I also use specialist nurseries e.g. for roses or rhododendron
