I have ‘Radio Times’ and ‘Homes & Antiques’, both on annual subscriptions of many years standing.
My partner has subscriptions for ‘Which’ and ‘The Pianist’.

We don’t buy any additional ones, as we already have enough ‘stuff’ cluttering up our house !

Good Housekeeping still the best, with a good mix of topics. The name makes it sound a bit old fashioned but it's really quite interesting. I read that they were planning to change it but readers were against it.

I have Prima on subscription. Always look forward to it’s arrival. Keeps me in touch with what’s interesting in British shops.......and comes with a free dress pattern .

Stopped subscribing long ago, for many of the reasons PPs have mentioned.
I now just get the RHS members monthly gardening magazine, handy tips and beautiful gardens to visit ( soon I hope!)
I did like Landscapes because there were very interesting articles, good recipes and few adverts. But even that became repetitive.

'Yours' magazine. Absolutely the best for the over 50's.
I have it on subscrition and it's delivered fortnightly.
I'm not keen on modern glossy mags that are just full of adverts and endless fashion which I can't afford.
Occasionally I buy Take a Break as I like entering the competitions.
And a TV guide every week.

I’m with you there annsixty I used to have GH on a subscription and looked forward to it . Nowadays is just as you say....full of wonderfully successful women bragging about their own success and adverts for clothes at extortionate prices.

I get Good Housekeeping monthly from my bank as a freebie.
It costs £4:99 to buy and I would feel very cheated If I actually paid for it.
It is now nothing like GH used to be when I was a young wife and mother
It devotes several pages to very successful women, telling us just how successful they are and what well rounded and fulfilled individuals they are.
This month has contributions from mothers and daughters who have taught each other how to be financial wizards, I am sure you get the picture.
The cookery section has been going for so long all they can produce are mostly weird (to me) concoctions mostly using chillies.
Furnishings are always beyond my pocket.
I do not buy any others.

I love the Lady, but only buy it occasionally as it is £5.95 - I always read the job adverts at the back, these are normally for housekeepers, butlers etc. They just amaze me as to how much employer expect from their employees - a totally different world from mine. I also buy Woman's weekly, and Take a Break. My neighbours and I normally pass them between each other, but due to this virus, we dare not do that. Sometimes I wonder if the magazine editors struggle to find 'new' subjects and articles to print, and are kind of re-inventing the wheel.

I love my mags, I generally buy Take a break, Woman’s Own and Ok all of which I pass on to my neighbour who lives alone and loves to read them
