Well, that's been a strange one! Quiet as a graveyard, (although that's a poor analogy); no traffic to speak of and hardly any pedestrians.
No Barney, I didn't have any hot cross buns either. Some say it's a pagan hangover, with the X signifying you know what and the spices signifying the embalming.
That wouldn't have put me off trying half-a-dozen or so, but my only treat was a bag of potato chips; although I did manage to follow the "Fish on Friday" theme by finding a "Grilled Perch" frozen dinner in the freezer.! I'd starve if it wasn't for the microwave!
Oopsadaisy You're absolutely right with your warning not to look up, especially in the shower. I always mark out first which way I'm going to fall to avoid clonking my head: even though there's a shower stool in there with me,
Soap in the eyes makes life difficult of course! confused
It must be frightening to get BPPV whilst driving, especially if driving to Cornwall as you say.
That takes me back a long way, with our family living variously in Barnstaple, Chudleigh, Ashburton (OK! Devon!} Par, Padstow, St.Austell!
The A303 was our preferred route, with a "comfort stop" at an Aircraft museum at Yeovilton (Naval I think), then on to Taunton and Barnstaple. where Nan and Grandad spent retirement. Happy memories! Plenty of time for reminiscing at the moment! smile
Some grusome pictures on TV today of mass burials of Corvic victims in New York. Fortunately our stats. are miniscule by comparison.
One of our MPs forced to resign today, having copped a fine from the police for driving to his other home without good cause! Have they no brains? Above the law I suppose!
I see there is a strong argument developing on another thread regarding having 1st class and 3rd class memberships! Be interesting to see where that one heads! grin Which reminds me to head off too; the predicted cool/col change has arrived just in time for the "holiday"
week-end, although nobody's going anywhere! sad
Have a Holy Good Friday1
Cheers wine

Oopsadaisy I'm still padding around; just noticed it's only 11.30pm and still Good Friday!
Yes $750. Thought I could afford taking out a life-membership with GN, but then thought (again), hang on Rufe, that could be a poor investment given your age and even if I could leave it in my will I'm sure the boys wouldn't be thanking me! hmm
Booze hasn't been banned (yet) so I might invest some of it in a case or two of Shiraz/Cabernet, just in case of course! grin

Sitting on the patio in the sunshine with tea and cake watching a buzzard and a kite hunting over the newly cut field.
Life is good.
It’s hard to believe we are anticipating Armageddon.

A walk we took at Clevedon Pill today, very quiet and so relaxing
