Good morning all from a sunny Stockport.
I had to post this morning reading of you all missing family so much and being so sensible , only speaking to Cand GC through windows, in cars etc.
I was copied in to an email sent by an aquaintance to a group a couple of days ago.
They had just arrived home after several months in America.
Absolutely no checks made at Miami or Heathrow.
3 hour limo drive home and now they will be shopping etc.

My DiL said last night that neighbours of hers had their 3 adult children and their families round and all in the garden.
When she said something she was told they are all keeping their distance.
With children? I don’t think so.
It makes me so mad that the rules are flaunted so much as though they are above them.
The good news for me is I have a click and collect today, my S will pick it up and the have all I ordered including eggs for the first time.

Wall to wall sunshine in Kent. When I went to the bathroom at 3am it was really light with the huge moon and the birds were singing.
DH is currently queueing at Tesco. He will call me when he's out so I can drive and pick him up.

Good morning from a brightening Manchester. Rained heavily last night with a flash of lightening thrown in for good effect. First rain since back from Spain on 20th March. Had a visit from dil yesterday afternoon when she came to drop something off. We sat in the garden at great distance, it was lovely to see her. Family are great at zooming, pics, videos etc but not the same as seeing them in the flesh. Videos of dgs1, age 4, learned how to ride his bike without stabilisers and dgs2 (cousin) was jumping in and out of his paddling pool yesterday. Feels like life is going on without us! Ds1 will drop off supermarket shop anytime. Leaves it on the doorstep and I transfer the money. Seems to be all I'm spending money on at the moment! Urmston my favourite thing in the world, reading on a sun lounger . (((hugs))). for those with extra cares and worries.

Good morning from a bright Staffs. I was a Catholic too so it’s always fish on Friday. “Saw the light” some years ago so-yippee-no more guilt! Jesus set me free! Love this “Sabbath” between Good Friday and Easter Sunday although, at the mo, every day feels like a Sabbath doesn’t it?

Thank you for all the messages wishing Henry well.He is a little bit improved with the medication and glimpses of happy Henry so just hope he continues to get better.
We are not planning to do much today.Have been doing a lot and as the lockdown will not be ending anytime soon we will enjoy the garden today instead of working in it.

Good morning from sunny but cooler Essex. Strange that Easter is here with no frantic preparations. I have half leg of lamb in the freezer for tomorrow and hope I can locate the mint sauce!
Busy day in the garden yesterday and pleased with my efforts. It's a shame nobody to see them but have sent family photos to prove I am not just sitting around!
DD called for a "car chat" after work and I had put bunting up outside the porch. It made it seem like a holiday weekend.
I have some garden furniture to assemble today, bought before the lockdown, so I was saving it for a rainy day! It is a little 2 seater setee, 2 armchairs and a small table. I will have seating for 10 in my garden then, so who will fill the other 9 seats?
A dear friend got a call from the hospital yesterday as her 94 year old mother was deteriorating with Covid 19. She was allowed to visit with full PPE to spend a precious hour together. How sad that she will die alone.
I do hope that everyone enjoys the Easter (break) and the sun will shine, even a little, for you ?xxx

Good Morning all, it's bright here in Fife at the moment with a light breeze. Still sleeping well for some reason, but I think we must be needing it . DD wants to come along today (8 miles) to combine her shop with dropping our Easter Eggs off and leaving them in our garage, whilst I would love to see her not sure if she is indeed breaking the rules . I may have a word with her. Since our grandchildren were born we have always had an Easter Egg hunt obviously we won't be this year but DD has everything I have for the hunt which she will do tomorrow in her own garden. I'm envious of course in a nice way, however needs must. I know everyone is in the same boat today so thinking of you all who would normally do something special on this Easter weekend. Take care.

A bright morning here on the S Welsh coast. Yesterday was so warm that we sat in the garden a lot. We had a treat last night, take away fish and chips, they even provided some lemons.
My mother would always cook fish on a Good Friday. Going to make the most of the sunshine again today, maybe a short walk. I have been managing to do a mile which I am so pleased about. Hope that everyone will have something to smile about today, stay safe.

However irritating they might have been (as if!) and certainly lockdown would have been unimaginably hard if health was a problem, nevertheless we do miss them

The sun is shining here today and it promises to be a hot one so we will only be venturing out for a very short walk, and then confine ourselves to the garden table once the umbrella is up! The bins haven't been emptied yet but there's still time. I'll shout my thankyou's from the kitchen window if/when they do arrive.

Enjoyed my usual fish dinner yesterday as I did creamed potatoes instead of chips, parsley sauce and peas---it was so heaped it had snow on the top lovely grub.
Not sure what todays menu is yet.

Just reading about repatriation flights from India back here. Yes, they've got to come back home at some point, but------it seems to defeat the whole object of the rest of us having to remain/stay put where we are with as little movement as possible. 12 flights are being put on next week. Will they all be checked ?

Good morning from a wet start in Glasgow. Knowing our unpredictable weather, it could change completely in a couple of hours??

Just couldn’t get to sleep last night and still awake at 3.30am. A lazy day ahead then as I will surely fall asleep at some point during the day continuing to mess up my sleep pattern again. Oh well, whatever, seems to be a word I am using more and more these days.

I dread to think what our garden will look like in summer as there is so much to do that pottering isn’t nearly enough to cover the work that needs done.

Morning Mick, morning All. Looking good outside, more sunshine in our corner of Somerset. Once Rumplestiltskin has stirred (Mr C is capable of sleeping for 14 hours a day) hope for an early-ish walk while it’s still quiet. A few light garden jobs before more sitting in the sun reading. I’m saving indoor jobs for tomorrow as we’re due a cloudy day. Be gentle with yourselves everyone, please just be careful out there.

Good morning everyone from a wet Glsgow. I'm sort of glad, as hopefully it will keep everyone at home, instead of trying to get to the beauty spots.
Our local council were reluctant to close the car parks at the parks, but have now being forced to do it, due to the amount of visitors.
Why do people not need the warnings?

I have a turkey to cook, so that DD can take some away with her when she drops the shopping off in the morning.
She has asked for it to be stuffed. I will have to root around my herb garden for some parsley, if there even is any.? No pressure!
I'm still running a restaurant, despite all the restrictions, is that flaunting the rules??. DD never leaves here empty handed!

I'm also planning to make hot cross buns and leave rising overnight for breakfast, so enough to keep me busy.

It seems strange not getting the church ready for the Easter services. Normally, I would be there this morning interfering helping the sacristan, who is nearly 80 and still going strong.
Gingster, I loved the sound of the fresh bass. Our fishmonger has closed down, and as a fish lover, it's been such a disappointment.
We had seafood risotto, which turned out really well.
We are having a family quiz tomorrow and it's our turn, to write the fiendish quiz. Its payback time. ?

I’ve not had a very good nights sleep which is unusual for me. Maybe it was because I wanted to be at the store for shopping close to opening time. There was a queue when I got there. People probably had the same idea as me. I think it’s all organised well for us.

Another pottering and garden day for me I think. It’s my brother’s birthday. I made him a card but didn’t post it. I told him I’d send it next year and send him a photo of it this year.

I think I’ll change to summer duvet soon Pantglas2. How is your husband getting on with his new hip?

Good morning everyone from a bright dry Inverness. We had lovely weather yesterday, nothing like the warmth and sunshine elsewhere but a lovely day for Inverness nevertheless !

We were mainly pottering in the garden as usual and I enjoyed a couple of online dance / exercise classes. More of the same today !

I received a lovely handmade Easter Card from DGS1 and DGD - really cheered me up that they took the time to make it themselves - it’s sitting in pride of place now on the mantelpiece ?

A cheery good morning from a dry and cloudy north Wales where I didn’t get to sleep until 2am as I was too hot so may be time for the summer duvet.

Will probably have a siesta this afternoon in the sleeping room conservatory otherwise I’ll feel like that ‘piece of chewed up string’ kittylester!

I know we’re not allowed to have visitors at the moment but........we have new tenants in the bird boxes! Lovely sitting in the summer house watching them swoop in and out!

Good morning to all from East London . Another sunny day but not set to last apparently , I’m sure the government and scientists will breathe a sigh of relief . I’m taking a walk to my DS and family, this morning about 20 minutes away but through a park so will set off early before the crowds . I’m dropping off some Easter eggs for a hunt tomorrow . It’s usually at my house with their cousins ... ?. Hope to have a zoom chat with them all at some time during the day . Never had Easter alone before missing DH very much over the last few days .
