My D is not far from Sydney--Allambie Hts, which in Aborigine terms means peaceful place. Northern suburbs.
I love the place and its fabulous coastal walks. My GS's share a house with their mates at Dee-Why near to the beach but it's out of bounds.

I trust you are keeping well Rufus2 in this strange world known as lockdown-under, although my personal fear is that it will unlock too soon as this virus has a habit of doing a U-turn.

Australia was once a classless society as I knew it when I first visited it in 1982, but over the years I also saw changes, some not always for the better but we have to move with the times.

Always had some good laughs on my hols there.

Beautiful spring weather here. Almost cruel really. Bright blue skies, daffodils, new growth bursting out of the trees and shrubs - and all we can do is look out at it! The birds must be wondering what's going on.
I watched 'Ladies in Black' a film set in 1950s Sydney and it reminded me how much I'd loved Sydney. Don't suppose we'll ever return there but Oz is a great country.

Very hot here Rufus, quite early to have this kind of weather here, still I hate the cold so small mercy.
