Good Morning Everyone,
Up early as usual, to what looks like another warm day here in Brackley this morning.
A quiet day to day I might treat myself to a bar of chocolate which I have brought .
Otherwise a lockdown, I did buy myself some 5KG dumbells a year or so back so may exercise using them .
Trying to avoid becoming a couch potato .
Mick

Happy Easter Sunday from sunny Manchester. Lamb for lunch today. Its been in the freezer since Christmas so needs to be used. As the family won't be here, it will last us 2 days. I had bought Easter eggs weeks ago along with a few treats. For once, I was organised! Gs1 will walk up later with his daddy and we will leave his goody bag at the gate. He knows now that we have to be at a distance, he thinks we are ill! Not sure what all this is doing to our children's minds. More garden, few chores and reading. Any other time I would have thought of blissful! Have a peaceful day. (((hugs))). ?For those with more worries than most.

Happy Anniversary to Grammaretto and Ninathenana.

Good morning all from a very cloudy Glasgow.

An easy day today, just reading the papaers and chilling. DD is dropping off our shopping, so we should be fine for the next week. I'm so looking forward to a chat from the doorstep and she at the bottom of the drive.

Roast turkey with all the trimmings, including the requested stuffing. I found some frozen parsley in the depths of the freezer. I think I got the bag reduced to 5p at Christmas, I knew it would come in handy! wink

Sending anniversary wishes to Grammaretto and Ninathenana ??
My friend and neighbour left an Easter gift on my doorstep, I usually have a gift for her wee granddaughter too, but I'm so embarrassed I have nothing to give. sad
I'm going to make some Easter cupcakes and leave them on my neighbour's doorsteps, as they have een so kind to me. I shall have to ration the mini eggs, as I have only one packet! grin.

Have the best day you can!

Good morning and Happy Easter from a sunny Cheshire. How lucky have we been with this weather? The lockdown would have so much more unpleasant if it had rained nonstop as it did earlier this year. We have still not finished jetwashing the flags/patio in the back garden, so will have another bash at it today, but think it will probably be tomorrow before it is finished, and then will have to do the drive! But than can wait a week or so. Will facetime our children and grandchildren later. Our younger son picked up our Easter eggs (from our porch) and dropped them off at his brother's along with his own, so the children don't miss out. Bet the DGC have already made a start on them for breakfast!

Happy Anniversary Grammaretto and Nina it's certainly an Anniversary that you won't forget! Hoping you all have a lovely Easter dinner and can make the most of these strange times. Take care.

Easter greetings to you all from an overcast Co Antrim. It is certainly going to be a strange day. The clergy here are still allowed to go in to the empty church and record a service which on a day like today will be very meaningful to watch from home.
My DD and DG will bring us home made Easter eggs this afternoon and have a catch up from a distance.
We certainly will never have such an unusual Easter again I hope.

Grammaretto Sun 12-Apr-20 07:59:40

ninathenana

Happy Easter everyone from a grey and misty bit of Argyll and Bute. Roast lamb tonight. We are really missing the Spring Classics and wondering how the professional cyclists are keeping sane, we may get out ourselves if it brightens up a bit. I'll have to work off the Easter egg somehow!

Happy Easter to all from a bright dry Inverness with the sun just peeping through the clouds

Nothing different planned for today, we received some lovely treats from Hotel Chocolate yesterday so will be tucking into those and looking forward to FaceTime with the family.

Scentia I really enjoyed The Salt Path book too - We walked half the coastal path last year and should have been finishing it this year but obviously all on hold ! ?

Happy Anniversary to Grammaretto and Ninathenana

Take care everyone and enjoy today as best you can ?

Happy wedding anniversaries to Gramaretto and her husband and to nina and her husband too.

kittylester Sun 12-Apr-20 07:45:51

My bit of Leicestershire is also sunny. We are about 3 miles from dragonfly46 so that is not really a surprise.

A little bit more gardening this morning before roast lamb, roast carrots and potatoes, petit pois and mint, redcurrant and orange sauce.

No doubt we will have a few video calls today after the children have done their easter egg hunts.

Enjoy your Easter Days everyone! And stay safe!!

ninathenana Sun 12-Apr-20 07:42:48

It's a sunny day in Kent. Today is our 45th anniversary, which I find hard to get my head around.
I will be cooking a nice lab roast later and we will have a glass of wine. Something we rarely do.
Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning from Severnside which has a sunny start to the day.

Pantglas2 ?? and yes it is annsixty that has missed out on her hip op.

Another day much the same except no garden work as I want to wear something decent today and not get it dirty. I feel like my mum talking to me ?

I will cook a nice meal and have the best day I can and hope that you all have the same. I expect FaceTime will be red hot today ???

Nortsat Sun 12-Apr-20 07:19:09

Good morning Mick and the GM team - Happy Easter ? to everyone. It’s warm and bright in east London.

I have been a bit unwell but feeling much better today. I plan an easy day. Phone calls to the loved ones later.

We haven’t quite cracked how to access our delivery slots for groceries, despite being on the priority list. But we’re doing fine.

I have made a boeuf bourguignon for today and a cheesecake. Hardly traditional Easter fare, or our usual Easter meal, but I wasn’t sure what would be available.
I have sent gifts via Amazon and cards via the post to the family. We have Easter Eggs via Thornton’s delivery ... mine is chocolate and strawberry... (we will need to follow Micks example and get the exercise weights out ...)

Good thoughts to those in Sick Bay and any wobblers.
‘Let’s be careful out there’. ??

Doorstop Sun 12-Apr-20 07:16:33

Happy Easter Mick and everyone,
My heart goes out to everyone missing their families.
From Hertfordshire.

Grammaretto Sun 12-Apr-20 07:15:22

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders on this Easter Sunday which also happens to be our Wedding Anniversary. (It was a very windy day 51 years ago)

We've already had photos of an egg hunt and easter bunnies in NZ
I may join the worshippers on Zoom later. It's rather wonderful to see and hear old friends without any effort.

We have no excuses. We will be at home. Feeling blessed.
